The staff made our stay from Diane’s welcome on arrival through to departure. All front desk were happy to assist and checking in was quick ensuring an accessible room with bath and bubbles! Safe and easy parking in ideal location to explore by foot, bike and/or bus.,|Even the staff serving breakfast in the adjoining Beefeater were keen to advise on dietary requirements and added to the good humoured atmosphere. Thank you.

Room smelt of damp and there was stains on the furniture. I had breakfast booked, only to find out in the morning that the chef was off sick, so no hot breakfast was being served? This caused me to be delayed and therefore I had to rush to check out, accidently leaving behind valuable property, as a result. Multiple calls back to the hotel and every time I'm told somebody else will call me back, since nobody apparently knows where the lost and found property is.

A friendly greeting when we arrived and quickly checked in. The room was comfortable if a little warm. The restaurant was excellent and all food freshly cooked. The beer I had, Doombar, was lovely from the tap and subsequent wine very nice. Prices very reasonable. Overnight our room at the back of the hotel overlooked the park and was very quiet, delightful. We stayed on the night of 10th September. Breakfast, again freshly prepared, was generous. And most enjoyable. Great place to stay if you want to visit Exeter, city centre a bus ride away.

Very comfortable stay, starting with a friendly welcome from Diane. Nice room and very convenient to be able to walk straight through to the Beefeater for an evening meal. Good atmosphere in the restaurant (booking advised) and bar, really enjoyed our stay.

Despite arriving slightly early the hotel was very accommodating. The proximity to the motorway was ideal for the rugby game, but far enough away to not impact a soundeless night sleep. I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting for the rugby.

We stayed in room 24. Firstly the was no WiFi available. As this was our anniversary our Son and his Wife (in U.S.) were going to call us on Facetime. We managed to message them that it was unavailable. We did complain to reception who said it was due to the weather. They gave us a code but we were still unable to access. I was already going to pay the £5 for upgrade but as WiFi was non existent it would have been a waste of money. Window had black mould accumulated that could easily be wiped clean with a cloth. The mirror in the room had large smudges on it. The window curtain had hooks missing. There was dirt and dust behind the door of the bathroom.||Service for dinner was appalling. Waited ten minutes to be greeted. We were informed that there were no steaks at all available at all. This was our Wedding Anniversary and we came for the steaks. We ordered prawn cocktails to start. The bread was old, dry and and curling. We had it replaced. No butter provided for the bread so had to ask for it. No cutlery for the prawn cocktails.||As there were no steaks of any kind available, my Wife ordered chargrilled fillet of salmon it was slightly overdone. I ordered beer battered fish and chips. The batter was extremely overdone.||I think there had been a problem there. A member of staff was called in from some other duty, possibly the bar, and she seemed to take charge of things. Top marks to her. Excellent member of staff. However she was very hard pushed to rectify matters.||Glad to say that breakfast the following day was pretty much up to the normal standard. Good bill of fare. The same member of staff that came to the rescue the night before (a lady), was in control of things. She was friendly and efficient.||Having visited Premier Inns before we can say that this was a very bad example. We have had very little to complain about in the past but this was very bad. Our anniversary was ruined.

Nice inside, rooms smaller than normal. Outside somewhat tatty and needs litter pick and some litter bins. If you get directed to your room through the car park, I suggest just walk the corridor instead after dark. The is a large children's playground behind the hotel, entrance off bridge road beside the pedestrian bridge. Handy for Exe Cycle route, there are pelican crossings to get over the busy road
