Easy to find and has a car park right next to it, which charged £12 for 24 hrs. There may be a discount available if you are staying for a week. The car park is run by APCOA. Lots of great restaurants and bars close by. It's close to a busy road, but it didn't spoil our stay, and we slept really well. We recommend Los Pampas for absolutely amazing food, just opposite the main entrance. Google them. Well worth a visit.
Also, the Percy Shaw for great value drinks and pub food. If you're heading to a concert at The Piece Hall, they stay open to 12.00am and offer a 20% post concert discount on food and drink if you can show your concert tickets.

Great one night stay at Premier Inn Halifax. Was attending a show at Piece Hall so the location is perfect, only a five minute walk. Good car park next door and reasonable price. Nice warm and very quick check in. Great room with comfy bed and had a great sleep. Also very quiet. Fully Recommend.

Checked in 20/06/25, the hotel reception was manned with a very polite lady, we allocated room 121 which was very clean with a very comfortable bed . We were in a hurry to unpack as we had a long drive to Halifax from Norfolk, we were attending a concert at the Piece Hall. The only issue we had was the noise, it was caused by either extractor fans or ventilation fans, the noise was so bad it prevented us from getting a good sleep, we informed the staff at breakfast who were apologetic and informed that they had received complaints previously so obviously ignored. It seemed like the staff didn’t care, we left tired and disappointed.

It's ok for an overnight stop. The attached bar/ restaurant (beefeater) not so good. Went in on arrival to get a drink. Couple of chefs in the cooking area chatting to each other took no notice of us. Whole place empty and thought it was closed so left. Booked into hotel, went to room and unpacked etc. Went back to bar and stood there for some time before a man in shorts appeared and told us there was only one person serving and a table of 10 had just arrived and she was busy. We were served and sat at a table, finished our drinks and left. Headed for town and the theatre and had a great night in Halifax.
Left the theatre and arrived back at the hotel at not long after 10pm so thought we would have a nightcap in the bar.
Place virtually in darkness and the one bar staff informed us we could have a drink but the bar would be closing at 10.30pm
Sat down to have our drink and some other people came in (about 10.15pm.) Only to be told the bar was shut. What sort of hotels close their bat at 10.15pm!!
We then went to our room and in the corridor between 2 adjacent rooms they had obviously ordered a takeaway and then disposed of the leftovers all over the carpet in the corridor. Went into the room to contact reception to let them know... no phone kn the room to contact anyone so we had to trawl though chips and takeaway leftovers to go back downstairs to reception. No one at reception so had to press the buzzer to alert someone to attend so that we could alert them to the problem. On a positive note, room was clean, slept well, and breakfast was adequate for the price and the hotel is in a great town centre location.
It's just the little thinks that would help to make it so much better.

Love the stay, clean room etc have stayed before and would come again. |I am really disappointed with the fact I turned up at 2pm and would be charged early check in even though the room was available. I think in any other hotel if the room is available they let you in as it’s good service for the customer. From a customer experience point of view it’s really poor to charge early check in when the room is available for an hour early. We wasn’t the only people who were turned away and advised of the charge which is clearly a money making scheme. Focus on the customer experience rather than the money for once.

A very nice surprise, right in the centre, next to huge overnight carpark, room was huge, clean, with a kettle and a bath. We paid a few pound extra for a view, well worth it. Food downstairs was lovely and the breakfast is well worth it. All in all, very pleased.

Room was far too hot, AC did not do anything and the window was sealed shut,
Location was good as walking distance to everything.
Breakfast had a good choice but cooled down quickly, it said it was a buffet breakfast but the server asked us what we wanted and it was added to a plate then brought to us, it was a very busy time so the food was just warm not hot.
Maybe if I'd of eaten it in the room it would of made it hotter,
Hotel ok for 1 night but couldn't stay there for longer
