This place is ok but it's not up to the usual Premier Inn standards from my experience. The room was just too shabby, wooden strip peeling of the door, dirty hinges and small rooms compared to most others.

Main door card reader doesn't work and hasn't in months.

Signed parking directs you to a spot under a flyover (feels a little dodgy) but if you drive around the corner you can actually park in the car park that is underneath the hotel, not sure why they don't make this clearer on the signage. It's not free (as the review summary suggests), it's a reasonable £7 a night and you pay at the reception, not the machine or app.

Not Premier Inn's fault but be aware that as of Jan 25, the Scale Lane pedestrian bridge to the city center is currently closed with no fixed reopening date, this means instead of a quick easy 2 min walk, it's a not particularly pleasant (especially at night) 10min walk across the main Myton Road Bridge to the old town.

Hotel location was perfect for where we wanted to go. Staff were professional, friendly and generally just nice ladies. Room was lovely and warm. We slept like babies. Breakfast well worth staying for and the 3 hour window is a bonus. Plus check out isn’t till 12. It’s a win win hotel

The Premier Inn Hull City Centre provides a comfortable stay with excellent security and some standout features, though there are a few small drawbacks.||Parking||The hotel’s onsite parking is located within the building, offering a secure and spacious option at £7 per night. While the cost might seem a bit high, the security and convenience make it worthwhile. In contrast, the alternative car park they mention across the road is an unsecured dirt field, which doesn’t feel safe or worth the risk. Payment for parking is made at a machine. Some upper floors of the onsite car park were closed during my visit, but there was still enough space available. Fortunately, my company covered the parking fee for my stay.||Rooms||I stayed in a Premier Inn Plus room (1214) on the 12th floor, and it was definitely worth the upgrade. The room was modern, spacious, and extremely quiet, even though it was close to the lift. The bed was comfortable, and the lighting in the room was more than sufficient. The air conditioning system, which also serves as the heater, kept the temperature perfect throughout my stay.||The room featured a coffee machine—a nice touch, though it would be great if they included hot chocolate pods for non-coffee drinkers. The small chocolates and bottles of soda water and still water in the fridge were thoughtful additions.||A standout feature of the room was the rainfall shower, which had excellent water pressure and temperature control. There was also a smaller showerhead for added convenience. Having an iron in the room was a big plus. The HDMI port on the wall near the kettle was very handy; I brought my Xbox and connected it easily. The Ultimate WiFi worked well overall, with only one brief disconnection. However, it was slightly inconvenient to have to collect a new WiFi code from reception every day.|Also the lift can only be accessed to get to rooms with your room keycard.||Hotel Layout and Amenities||The reception, bar, and restaurant are all located on the 7th floor, while standard rooms are on floors 8–11, and Premier Inn Plus rooms occupy the 12th floor. The hotel was very quiet throughout my stay, and the restaurant was never particularly busy. Room service was available, and on three out of the four nights I was there, staff kindly brought my food to my room.||Food||The food was decent but not exceptional, and eating healthily proved challenging as most options were quite indulgent. I had the breakfast, mixed grill, and lasagna during my stay and enjoyed them, though nothing stood out as remarkable. I’ve shared photos of these meals but forgot to photograph other dishes. As my company paid for my meals, I can’t comment on the pricing.||Location||The hotel is conveniently located with a pedestrian bridge right outside, connecting it to Hull’s town centre. It’s about a 15-minute walk to reach the local Tesco Express, pubs, and restaurants.||Summary||Premier Inn Hull City Centre offers secure and convenient onsite parking, making it worth the £7 nightly fee. Avoid the unsecured dirt field across the road. The Premier Inn Plus rooms are highly recommended for their comfort, quietness, and thoughtful amenities like a rainfall shower, coffee machine, HDMI port, and excellent air conditioning. The hotel itself is quiet, with friendly service and average food options. While the need to collect a new WiFi code daily is a minor inconvenience, the overall experience makes this a solid choice for business stays.

Hotel is reasonably easy to get to from A63. Entrance foyer has two lifts and a staircase which takes you to the reception. Rooms are clean and tidy, basic but have the essentials. Breakfast is a buffet with other items available to order, they can cater for dietary requirements such as gluten free on request.

This is a really nice Hotel, you do have to get used to the layout though. Some rooms have great views over the River Humber, which I believe you have an option of ''Room With A View'' when booking.||||Have stayed here a few times and staff are all really chatty and lovely. Breakfast service was well organised and very efficient.||||The only two downsides we had was that the Resturaunt only opens for Breakfast Service and then closes until 5.30pm, with our 2 GrandChildren it would have been nice on the day of departure to have had something at Lunch Time and we had to wait until 5.30pm on the arrival date ( not a major problem - but the youngest was hungry at 4.30pm ) We could have ventured out I guess and this is something we would probably do if visitng again. Secondly, they have now introduced Parking Charges, asn additionla expense which could be included in your stay as it used to be.||||Always mention this on PI reviews - never any Real Ale On but the Morreti was a good option. Small portions for the price but nicely cooked and Breakfast was excellent - very well managed and efficient.||||Resturaunmt has some great views, on a nice day watching the sun come up over the River was a bonus - Grandkids loved it.||||Good location in the city as well particularly to visit Hull Old Town.||||Karl

We've been to this hotel quite a few timed and this time was as good as ever. The location is perfect, a very short walk to the Old Town but far enough away to be quiet. The staff here are excellent, nothing is too much trouble and they are all so friendly. A big thank you to Grant and the rest of the team. This time we paid a bit extra for a Premier Plus room and it was worth it. Lovely room, very well appointed. Ate dinner here, very nice, and as ever the bed was very comfy so we had a good night's sleep. We'll be back!

Everything was good apart from the dinner menu. It was pretty basic considering how much I paid for 2 nights. The calamari starter was more batter than calamari, so was disappointed with that. I mean, if your putting calamari on the menu, make sure you can cost in a decent proper portion of them or don't have them at all. Didn't interact with any staff really except a young petit girl who worked in the restaurant. Very polite and pleasant but I didn't catch her name.

We stayed here on Wednesday (20th nov) as usual the rooms were clean and comfortable. We were able to get an early check in which was great for me. Unfortunately our heating wasn't working in the room but Brad, the on duty manager went and fetched a portable heater which more than did the job. Other staff v friendly and a special mention to Emily who got a map and marked the places I wanted to go to. My only concern is that I was told there was a service dog in the room next to me but having seen the dog and it's owner I would question whether it was a service dog? I don't for one minute think it was but a lovely stay. Also great that we could pay for parking at reception with the early check in. Thanks for a great stay.
