Wow, what a fantastic location, right on the beach! Helpful staff and great selection of food at the buffet breakfast.||This hotel does not have a car park, however you can park along the Esplanade and parking charges are 24 hours a day. Tip: If you park between the hours of 6pm to 10am you will pay a cheap ‘night rate’ of £2.00.|We had a super room – seaview on the 3rd floor (305).||Very frustratingly two out of our three nights stay were disrupted by ‘elephants’ upstairs! Heavy footsteps and banging / dropping noises at round 2am / 4:30am and 5:15am! As a new hotel you would have thought they would soundproof the whole room, not just from external noises.||One of the two lifts was broken for our whole stay (4 days).|Upon arrival to our room, our toilet paper, shower gel and hand soaps were not topped up, so we had to ask for them to be replenished. Not a great start!||The hotel does advise you of the sporadic mobile signal and the free Wi-Fi is pretty intermittent too. Personally, my reception (on O2) was actually ok. My Husband however, on EE, did struggle a lot!||If you would like to eat in their restaurant C + P, I would highly recommend booking a table as they can get extremely busy! It’s a very popular place! We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious!

We are regular clients of premier inn and have stayed at Sandown seafront before.|This time it really was excellent. The receptionist was really helpful, especially when we wanted to add the evening meal deal and when we had a problem with the television. When we got to our room it was absolutely spotless and warm. And an added bonus was a view over looking the sea. And a comfortable bed. Also tea and coffee was available in the room and extra if needed in the reception.|Breakfast had a big choice and the cooked breakfast was nice and hot. We had the evening meal deal and again it was very nice and fast service. A big shout out for the young male waiter who couldnt do enough for us. Sandown itself is a bit run down but the beach etc is very nice. And we travelled everywhere visiting other resorts and other attractions from the hotel. No where seems to far. Premier inns should be proud of the team at Sandown seafront.

We booked in on the 20th September. This was to be my dads last Holiday. |The rooms we booked were very clean, the beds very comfy. |Plenty of help yourself, tea, coffee, milk, sugar etc in the reception area.|The hotel it'self is as it says, right on the beach front. The reception area has 2 armchairs , lots of information leaflets, and a good size. This was a final trip for my dad who is 92, in a wheelchair and has dementia. Our party consisted of myself m,my mum, my dad and my husband. Oue rooms were accessible rooms on the second floor.|The hotel is wheel chair friendly. The lift (when working) is a generous size to allow a wheel chair and 3 people.|The staff were pretty incredible for us during our stay. All were helpful, kind and courteous. We would like to thank you all for giving us a final weekend to build memories.|The only problem during our whole stay was 1 of the lifts was out of order and by the saturday both lifts were out which caused us a bit of a turmoil. That said though|Our gratitude goes a long way to all staff and we would like to say a big extra thankyou to Harley Greenham especially who went above and beyond when the 1 working lift failed. Harley helped us get my dad down stairs to continue our holiday and also helped us to return my dad to his room. We cannot thank you enough for your dedication to us as visitors to the premier inn. You went one step further than expected and gave us the chance to continue to create memories as a family.|We will be back, in the future.|We thank you all for your help, kindness, patience and understanding.|Kind Regards

I have had the best customer service from Sophie at the restaurant. She was so kind, and couldn't help me enough. But the backlash she got from the chefs for getting a order wrong was out of order.. she has done an amazing job and a credit to to the premier inn. I truly hope you can get more staff like her.

I booked this as a 3 night getaway for myself and my brother as he had just recently lost his wife and thought a trip to the Isle of Wight where we have spent many holidays since childhood would do him good.Upon arrival at check in at the nominated time of 3pm,found no reception staff at the desk and had to ring a buzzer to summon someone to eventually come out of the back office.Upon giving my name was told, quote” ah yes.A double with sea view”when we had in fact booked a twin room.Thank goodness I had a paper confirmation copy with me that stated twin room. After tweaking around on his computer we were given a twin room with double bed and sofa bed at the back of the hotel but the sofa bed had to be made up,and to facilitate this we told him we would just drop our bags off and go out.Upon returning 2.5 hours later, nothing had been done.I returned to reception and was greeted by a very helpful member of staff(Leanne) who rectified the problem immediately by come up to the room herself with bedding and towels and made up the sofa bed herself stating the information hadn’t been passed on.I got the feeling that our booking and original room had been reallocated to someone shortly before our own arrival.Rant over, the staff were generally cheerful and the breakfast was what you would expect for an unlimited buffet style breakfast. The location on the seafront was ideal but feel that with some exceptions, the staff were unprofessional in manner and dress(no corporate uniform just own jeans and tee shirts).Would I stay again? Probably for the location. As a footnote, upon checking out I saw the original receptionist and said to him”did you forget anything the other day when we booked in”.Leaning back in his chair and hands behind his head, said,” I don’t ever forget things”

Sandown was clearly once the seaside destination of choice for the Isle of Wight... the town is not looking at it's best, and out of season it was a shadow of it's former self. But all that is out of Premier Inns control.|The hotel itself is a shining jewel on the seafront, with a sea view to wake up to each day and a team that cared for us every step of the way (even with a broken lift). The rooms were clean, tidy and exactly what you expect from Premier Inn (the housekeepers obviously work hard to keep it that way).|Not run by Premier Inn but the attached Cookhouse and Pub restaurant also had a great team and great food. The Meal deal is a bargain, but so is the £10.99 Sunday roast (it was packed and had a great atmosphere).|Even out of season, the pier was open (full of amusements) and as a base to explore the island, Sandown Seafront is a great place to start.|We used it as our base to explore St Helens, Bembridge, Ryde and Newport and it was a comfy bed for the night and a great place to wake up and take a morning seaside walk.|I hope the high street and surrounding area now follow Premier Inn's lead and start to bring Sandown back to what it once was.

Such a lovely hotel on the seafront with a beautiful view out to sea. The room was very clean and to a high standard. Reception team were very friendly and welcoming. We used the little car park behind the hotel near the church had good prices. Definitely would stay again!!

The hotel's location is truly exceptional, a hidden gem. The staff were incredibly helpful and always ready to assist. Unfortunately, my room was not maintained to the standard I would expect. For a hotel that's only four years old, it's disappointing to find white marks around on the walls and to fix that it would just need a simple paint job given the hotel is in a prime location and has stunning seaside views, I would have anticipated a higher level of upkeep for this hidden gem of a hotel! Apart from that a really pleasant stay here.
