I’ll start with the positives about this hotel -

The staff - they made for a quick and efficient check in, were friendly, and shared useful information.

The reception, bar, communal and restaurant areas are all clean and look modern.

We only ate breakfast and there was plenty of choice for hot/cold food and drink.

Now the negatives -

We changed rooms twice pretty quickly after the initial check in. The first room had a ripped net curtain, odd tables beside the bed, and the bathrooom tiles/grout was covered in black mould. It turns out this room shouldn’t have been allocated due to other complaints raised before our arrival.

Another room was then issued and as we headed towards it the door was ajar. Upon entering the room the chair was in the middle of the room and not near the desk, the bed looked like it had been used/led on and hair were on the duvet pillows, once again mould in the bathroom.

A call to customer services got us put through to the duty manager who came to speak with us and listened to our findings. He then looked at what other rooms were available and we then went to look at them.

We settled on the third room, which like the others in the hotel was smaller than other Premier Inn’s I’ve stayed at, but was better than the previous two. There was still some mould/black on the tiles/grouting as per the picture. You can see where the old emergency escape plans and locks were positioned on the door to.

It might be best to close some of the rooms whilst they’re given a refurbishment as it does look tired/dated.

Great staff very helpful the restaurant bar and breakfast rooms are modern and very spacious. The rooms are smaller than other premier inns I have been too before and a bit dated but clean and comfortable. We were mostly out all day. The breakfasts were really great and the evening meals in the restaurant were very good too. Great stay, and the staff couldn't do enough to help. Especially Alex Sarah and Karen I think at breakfast. 5 stars 🤩

We often stay with Premier Inn in different places so thought we knew what to expect - we were shocked by this one!! This was the worst experience we've ever had. Very disappointed as we always look forward to our Premier Inn stays as a family. The staff were friendly but the hotel itself is tired, old, worn and cold. The key cards don't work properly so guests were queuing to get through to the room corridors as everyone was having the same problem with getting their key cards to work. The corridors were draughty and cold. The carpets are worn. The room was also tired and the bathroom marked. We couldn't get the room warm using the on-the-wall electric radiator. The restaurant were experiencing supply issues so there were several food items missing from breakfast, including NO pastries at all and no butter. Restaurant was cold too and staff were shivering in their uniforms - we were all wearing coats to eat.

Great budget hotel. The rooms we had looked like they had been recently refurbished so fresh and clean. Breakfast good value but a bit slow refreshing items that had run out. Overall for the price we paid excellent value.

We have been using Fosse Park for years but this time really noticed how tired it has become. Very few staff in evening, only bar meals, the restaurant not open, and also told that due to food shortages some items on menu not available. Now I would suggest Premier Inn could have emailed us that information before our trip so we could make an informed decision about our stay. Also, the parking has changed. It used to be free, free, and it says on the website Free Parking with no other caveat. BUT, the car park is now run by a parking company and I guess Premier Inn have absolved responsibility for it. We arrived in the dark after a long difficult journey and did not see or look for any signage. Noticed 24 hours later the key pad (not large) to one side of the reception desk for registering car. We were not asked to use it on arrival, it was not pointed out to us and when I mentioned this to the receptionist when I was later registering the car he said, "we have been told not to bring it to attention, there are signs outside". OK, yes, but. Where was hospitality, where was old fashioned courtesy or just even helpfulness?

This is unfortunately is the worst Premier Inn I’ve stayed at and I’ve stayed at a lot through work and leisure from the Scottish Highlands and down to the south coast. I had booked 2 different Premier Inns this weekend, Worksop on Friday night and Fosse Park Saturday night. Worksop was the best one I’ve ever stayed at

Fosse Park was in a good location and parking was easy and free. The outside of the hotel looked tired, dirty and run down but once through the door the reception area was nice, bright and modern. Check in was efficient. Our room was 102, located on the ground floor, right at the end of a long corridor. The corridor was very dated and run down and this was the same once we got through our door. The carpets were frayed and very dirty, there was dirt and dust on the skirting boards and bits of dirt on the tiles by the bath and the chrome handles on the bath were rusty. My bed was also torn

Breakfast was lovely but looking out of the window to the railings and grounds they definitely need sorting too. Rusty railings and weeds everywhere. This hotel lets down the Premier Inn name and needs to be closed whilst a full refurbishment is done. I wouldn’t stay again until it has been

This has got to be the mankiest premier Inn we've stayed at. Staff were really helpful though, moving us from our initial room which was very tired, collapsed mattress and tiny. The whole hotel is worn out. Carpets, walls, lift etc. will be looking on Google earth before booking next time

I must give this hotel 1 star. The reasons for this are, the carpet appeared very dated and dirty. The environment was a bit dingy and looked not well looked after. The reception was warm and welcoming, however this entire place is in need of a revamp. The shower curtains looked a bit dirty toilet vanity was far from modern. This would not be an option for me again, it was definitely not worth it.
