Lovely hotel with an amazing staff! Great location jut off the A38, great for exploring the local area. Rooms clean, if not a little basic. Air con was very much appreciated in the current heat wave! Restaurant gave great service but the menu is slightly restricted

Hotel is a good location but very tired, scruffy. and needs a lot of investment. Our Bathroom was mouldy and smelt of damp. Grounds around the hotel could look great if they were kept. Worst premier inn I have stayed in. ||Having said that, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was very good thanks to chef Ehizha and the best I’ve had in a premier inn for a long time. Becks in the restaurant, working tirelessly on her own waitressing was honestly the highlight of our stay there, super friendly, super cheerful and super helpful. She is an absolute credit to the premier inn/whitbread brand.

Very disappointed with Premier Inn at Liskeard. We stayed here several years ago and it was great. How things have changed! We stayed for 3 nights and found it to be very expensive, even though we booked 6 months ago, and poor quality. We arrived at 2 pm on Friday afternoon after a long journey only to be told that we could not check in until 3 pm unless we paid an extra £15 which we refused to do as the price was already costly enough. We were told that the lift was out of order so were given a ground floor room, but even that required access by 6 stairs and would not be suitable for someone with mobility problems. We were not informed prior to arrival that the lift was not working, although this has obviously been the case for some time. The room was dark and depressing, the window did not open which was not good in a heatwave! and the decor and furniture very dated and in poor condition. The bathroom looked clean but had a dreadful frowsy smell as though it had been cleaned with a dirty cloth. There was only one hand towel and we asked twice for an additional towel but this was not forthcoming until we approached the cleaner working in the hallway. Rooms are not cleaned or towels changed unless you specifically request this and we had to ask twice also before the rubbish bin was emptied. We did not eat at the hotel as the menu was very limited and reviews were poor. |We stay quite often at Premier Inn but this has to be one of the worst. I’m afraid they will be losing a lot of customers if things don’t improve soon!

We had a lovely breakfast. Perfect poached eggs and decent vegan sausages. Coffee was good too.||We only came for the breakfast. Becky was very helpful and friendly. Seated us quickly and breakfast ordered.

Thanks to chef Elizha.||Thanks to all||The external walls need painting, as looks a little tired.||Great idea to have electric charging facilities on site. We will stay again

I have been a customer of Premier Inns for many, many years.|We have stayed in Premier Inn, Liskeard several times and up to this date I have been exceptionally pleased with the service given. Indeed, it is one of our favourite Premier Inns||I have summarised briefly below the issues I experienced and discussed with Lucie, the hotel manager.|initially, I was told that the lift’s was not working and would I like to be relocated to the ground floor. I accepted this.|From arrival to what followed was comparable with an episode from Faulty Towers.|I was greatly disappointed to find that the hotel was going through some refurbishment and believe you should have lowered our expectations. |I. E. Being open about the reduced quality of service expected.|I should have been told that the hotel was in the process of refurbishment and to expect a lesser service than we are used to.|In Summary my complaints :-|1. Menu disappointing|2. No draft beers|3. No wine glasses initially in the bar.|4. Outside patio area Scruffy with glasses and bottles remaining and collected|5. Chair backs Filthy (see photo)|6. Bathroom has black mould around the bath, skirting board needs painting and a door panel is loose. (See photo)|7. Broadband is not efficient in the bar and restaurant area.|8. TV would not turn off. Had to get Lucie, hotel manager, to unplug it|9. A/C was excessively noisy.|I feel we were undersold this booking and should’ve been told to experience some problems. This smacks of dishonesty|The only bright side of the booking is the staff who were absolutely fantastic, especially the hotel manager who listened to my grumbles and was in full sympathy. The staff are obviously going through a major change and the lack of service was understandable.|Because our sleep was affected by the TV, and noisy air conditioning a full refund is in order.|I look forward to your comments.|Ron Deamer

We knew in advanced that there was a limited menu. Food was well cooked, and the though the waitress made an error with the order she quickly rectified it. Room was very clean, staff very friendly and thr disabled room I booked was available and fully wheelchair accessible. I love the addition of fresh water in reception, a nice touch. The only criticism I have as a wheelchair chair user is that the reception desk is too high so I was unable to sign the reception form, but this was an minor thing

Wasn't a brilliant stay , we wanted a walk in shower but ended up in a disabled room, totally inappropriate. Shower floor had mould growth on it, drain smelt awful when we first ran the shower, generally in need of an upgrade. The bed was uncomfortable, two singles pushed together with no extra topper so had a ridge down the middle, certainly not up to Premier Inn normal high standard. As for the noise level of door slamming, it was dreadful. Kids running around overhead at the weekend until the early hours was almost too much to bear, in fact, we checked out early. All in all, not great.
