Honestly I was expecting a bit better from this premier inn since I’ve stayed in multiple before!
The layout is a bit confusing since there’s so many stairs everywhere, but you will get used to it. My room was located near the far end of the building. The bed was well made, however the corner of the ceiling in the bathroom started to flake. There was damp/mould near the window. The heating wouldn’t work, therefore the room was always freezing cold.
Staff are very polite, and the breakfast is not bad. A larger range of food would’ve been better!

We chose this hotel for a one night stay before attending a special family celebration.|It was dark and raining for our arrival. It was a good job the sat nav was accurate as the hotel signage was not illuminated and would have been very easy to miss.|The associated pub/restaurant is closed until March 2025, so we had to go elsewhere to obtain food.|Our room was on the second floor but there is no lift.|The receptionist was friendly and efficient.|Sadly, the room initially allocated had a defective bathroom but we were promptly moved. Only 1 towel set was provided but again more were promptly supplied on request.|The hotel was one of the most tired Premier Inns we have stayed in, but was quiet and comfortable.

On my travels, I stay in a Premier Inn. As always, a delight. Friendly staff, lovely rooms and great location being by a large lake. On this occasion the restaurant was being refurbished and was given alternative nearby restaurants which was no problem. But you could still get a breakfast on site. Will visit here and see no reason not to visit again.

Sam made our stay absolutely exceptional. Her hospitality was wonderful. She warmly greeted my friends and I as soon as we entered the reception, and efficiently checked us in. We also had a laugh with her too. Sam still had a smile on her face when we left the next day. Thank you for making our day!

Good night sleep, room was clean and tidy when we arrived. Had breakfast the following morning was greeted by Chelsea, who attitude was very cheerful and friendly as soon as we step into the room. She was kind and was helpful. Everytime we saw her she was smiling or chatting away to guests. Thank you.

On arrival, we were met with the unpleasant surprise that half the hotel was essentially a building site due to the attached restaurant undergoing renovation. After a long, exhausting day of work, we found there was absolutely no facility to eat or even grab a drink—a basic amenity one would expect. When we raised this with the reception staff, we were brushed off with the excuse that it was "mentioned on the website." Not only was this information buried (if it existed at all), but it was also completely absent when I booked the hotel for three of us working on a local event. While the hotel itself was up to the usual Premier Inn standard in terms of comfort, the lack of any alternative arrangement for dining was shockingly poor service. This level of disregard for guests' needs is unacceptable and has left a lasting negative impression.

The accommodation was good as always with a great night's sleep. Chelsea was an excellent breakfast host, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was also very good. It is a shame that the restaurant linked to the hotel was closed for refurbishment.
