We stayed here between Christmas and new year, just for a small break away, and to visit barter books, in Alnwick.||||Really clean, the staff were all friendly, as are most people from this area. The hotel was clean inside and out, and had plenty of parking spaces. ||||The bathroom was well stocked with soap, shower gel and toilet rolls. Really good shower. The bed was one of the comfiest I've slept in away from home. ||||There were plenty of tea and coffee facilities. We didn't use the restaurant on site this time, but saw plenty of others doing so. ||||Loads of wardrobe space, which we found helpful, and a surprising amount of plug sockets! None by the bed though, but this seems to be standard. ||||If I had to give a down side, I'd say the doors slam if you just let them go, which some people seem to do when leaving their rooms. But that's more about the people than the hotel. ||||Overall, for the price we paid, we were happy with our stay and will probably return.

I was going to meet some friends at Whitley Bay with my family, but the drive was ages away, so we decided to stay overnight in this nearby Premier Inn for convenience. There was a vending machine which was fun. We stayed in Room 3. When we got into the room, it was very nice and very clean. It looked nice inside, the beds were comfy, and we couldn't wait to sleep there. My brother ran up and down the aisle. There was some depressing news on the tv as I was going to sleep. Comfy sleep, lovely rooms and staff. Breakfast tasted amazing. I recommend the pancakes (with syrup, as they can be a bit dry without it) and the full English. Overall, i had a fantastic time and my trip out was so fun. Would definitely recommend the hotel, and would love to stay here again!

We stayed here the night before we were due to sail from the Newcastle cruise terminal, pre booking and paying for it several months before our cruise was due to leave, this itself was an easy to do with no problems at all. The location was brilliant and with the shopping centre across the car park it gave us somewhere to visit before we were due to embark. The room was clean and offered the usual Premier Inn basic items. My wife and I normally take a couple of days or so to acclimatise to a strange bed and this was no exception so for an overnight stop it wasn't the best sleep we have experienced. We had our evening meal and pre paid for breakfast at the Brewers Fayre which was next door and both meals were quite good. The staff in both the hotel and Brewers Fayre were excellent and helpful and we had no complaints. When leaving the following day it was literally a two minute drive to the cruise terminal car park, as a matter of fact the two of us had a walk down there after breakfast to see the ship, it had only docked there that morning, and see where we had to park which helped a lot. We would definitely use the hotel again if we needed accommodation in this area.

This has been the worst Premier Inn I’ve stayed at. To say I can hear everything from the room above is an understatement.
I stopped using travel lodge because they always let me down when it came to sound proofing. When your trying to sleep and your woken up thinking someone is in your room in the middle of the night walking around proves how poor the sound proof is.

My wife and I stayed here as a part of our travel through many areas of the UK. This particular location was conveniently located and allowed us to get around to many interesting areas that are nearby. We have friends who live in the area and this is what led to our picking this particular spot to stay. ||||The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice and quiet. If/when in the area we'll definitely consider this as a place to stay.

Another lovely stay at Royal quays. Lovely friendly welcome and well looked after by Nicola and Jade and the lovely staff behind the scenes. I come up frequently for the football and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. They even advised me on how to wrap my Christmas presents!

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night on 1 January 2025. We were with friends/family (3 other couples) celebrating the New Year. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Nicola on reception.|The room was lovely and clean and tidy and bed was so comfy.|We will definitely return.

Very friendly helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Brewers Fayre next door was ideal for breakfast and evening meal with the Premier Inn doing a prebookable package. Convenient for many attractions. Close to Whitley Bay and Newcastle
