The check in was friendly and efficient, and I was pleased that my phone request for a high floor river view was granted. The room was spacious and the bathroom was huge ( unnecessarily so, as most of the space was wasted). However, we quickly found that the heating was totally inadequate. The aircon/ heating unit was barely working, and I made a visit to reception to let them know. The very helpful receptionist immediately brought a heater to the room and the temperature quickly improved. I got the impression that this is a common problem in this PI, so I recommend getting supplementary heating as soon as you can, if required. It would have been nice to have had an easy chair, as there was plenty of room for one. We requested room cleaning as we were there for three days. For some reason this was overlooked on the first day, but was done to a good standard after that. The adjacent Table Table was disappointing at breakfast time, with several items missing on all three mornings, with the last morning being the worst. The staff were lovely however so it’s a shame that they are let down by supply problems. All in all, this Premier Inn is in a great location and the staff are very nice and helpful. Hopefully the main disadvantages will be rectified at some point in the near future.

Stayed here one Friday night in half term, exactly what you expect from a Premier Inn. Nice clean and they accommodated well, double, 2 singles and a travel cot.
It was situated on the river, which was lovely and very beautiful, especially at night.
Car park, only £9 for 24 hours, so could easily walk into Norwich for a look around.
Would 100% stay again.

From the moment we walked into reception, we received the warmest of welcomes. Sarah, who checked us in was just incredible. |We just kind of hit it off and we had a good laugh. |She was mind and caring and made us smile - and she said that a day without smiles is a wasted day - and I truly believe that. ||When we came back ij the evenijg, she very kindly came up tonus alwith a bag that had bottles of water and crisps in it to take back to our room| room. ||I will remember our stay here mainly because of Satah and her delightful ways||The room was comfortable, warm, quiet and just what we needed for the one night stay. I had my guide dog, Spencer with me also and he was treated as wonderfully as we were||Thank you Sarah|You made our day|Terry, Dean and Spencer

The hotel is brilliantly located in Norwich easy parking and reasonably priced. Hotel is looking tired in places but staff were friendly and helpful. Beds and rooms are good. ||||My room wasn’t ready at check in and none of the machines to check in were working or highlighted by the staff which might have sped things up. However I only had to wait 20 minutes for my room. ||||Also when I stayed they were having some food and drink supply problems which hampered dinner choices. Food I chose was not up to their usual standard. ||||Overall would recommend a stay here.

This review is based purely on the breakfast service and our experience this morning was an absolute shambles. Before we have even sat down we were charged for it. Me and my dad on my birthday did the walk in with about 4 other unfortunate customers and the Bacon was like dried up crisps, everything on the plate was re-heated, discoloured, and bland. There was also no buffet this morning and it was ordered fresh to cook which makes these standards even more inexcusable. When we mentioned something to the waitress she had the audacity to argue that it was all fresh. The morning set up here has really gone down the pan. I love the old cozy feel to this place and the fact that it's my local but it seems like they have lost all their standards since the mention of moving this place on. Customers deserve better.

Check in was good. Stopped when I went for something to eat. |Room with a great view, however had a AC system very loud.||Waited 10 minutes at the check in at the restaurant. Staff attitude and overall service was next to nothing. Decent hotel in good location, but eat somewhere else.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and been happy each time, but this time less so. I know the hotel is due to be refurbished and we chose a Premier plus room which was good and very clean but the free WiFi was out of range to use. We had breakfast which was good. |Unfortunately there was a noise from what I think must have been the heating which kept us awake for the second night of a 2 night stay. The first night was OK. |The strangest thing was that when we went for pre dinner drinks on the second night, all drinks were being served in pint plastic glasses. I asked why and was told that it was because of a football match which had finished a couple of hours previously, but there were no football fans in sight. |If on match days they can't serve in glass then why not get decent plastic glasses.|This hotel is generally good and the staff are friendly, so look out for Norwich City home game bookings.|I would visit again but I was unhappy about the WiFi and the noise from the heating. I would have liked to mention this to them directly, but there was no-one on the desk at check out

Rooms spotlessly clean. Staff can't do enough for you, whether it's finding (rarely) scarce milk or solving minor problems that occur. We feel entirely at home here.
Top-ups for the room's tea & coffee supplies readily available in reception.
Location is ideal for getting into the centre of town on foot & for travelling around to surrounding areas by car or bus.
Parking available for which you pay per night.
Nice views of the river too.
