Great location a short walk to most of the major sights. Hotel was very clean and Premier Plus room was excellent, albeit very hot if aircon not turned on, even in the middle of the night. Comfortable bed and good bathroom, although bath was very high to climb in and out of for showering. Breakfasts were good although on first morning had to wait 40 minutes for cooked breakfast. Was much quicker on days 2 & 3. Good seating/bar area. had notification the day before arriving that the lift was not working. it had not been fixed by time we lest, 3 days later. We were on top (3rd floor) and were OK with the walk up and down.

Excellent service. Staff were amazing. Very accommodating to my Wife and I, more so as my Wife is in a wheelchair. Room was clean and very well managed. Breakfast was very good and service was swift. The only reason for the 4 star rating was dinner service, the floor staff were not to blame but they had no chicken on the menu at all and the burgers and chips were of fast food standard. I did expect better for the price. It was a good over all experience and i would stay again.

I know that with Premier Inns you get what you pay for but I've been using the chain for over a decade now and seen the level of service fall considerably. On my recent trip I was particularly disappointed with the following:|*The hand towel supplied was obviously ageing and had a sizeable hole in it.|*The carpets although vacuumed were in need of a deep cleaning.|*The complementary beverages are now in a plastic box. No decaf coffee sachets and all limited to just two of each. I must say that additional supplies were freely available in reception.|*I wasn't too keen on the glass mugs supplied and no glasses. |*The service in the bar was appalling, a number of residents left without being served. |Overall to be honest I've stayed in better Travel Lodges.

The car park at this venue is small and people were parked in the disabled bay without a badge (I have a badge). The cost of parking is Β£8 per night which is not indicated in the booking.I was able to park my vehicle in the adjoining Premier Inn, without paying any more fees. The staff were friendly and helpful the room was great, the en-suite was good and the bed was comfortable. TV in room was good, but the free wifi was awful - could not get onto the wifi at all. I had booked the venue as our friends had booked the same venue. We had one evening meal here which was okay, otherwise we did not eat here (out of choice, rather than problems with restaurant itself). There was no dedicated smoking area, so guests stood at the front entrance smoking which I did not like. |I would not choose to return to this venue if coming to Plymouth again.

Brilliant stay here. We chose not to stay in the city as we wanted to explore the old area and harbour, which was beautiful. Just a 25 minute walk from the train station and overlooking the harbour made it an ideal choice for us. 5 minutes walk from pubs and food places. Would definitely recommend.

Awful experience. We booked the best, Premier Plus, room. We expected a King size bed, but it was only a double. The room was clean, but the staircase was abysmal.
The lift was broken, we received an email notification of this a week prior to our stay, and it was still broken when we left...
The internet connection was unusable and would time out when trying to load pages such as Wikipedia which are mostly text - the staff said it was an on going problem with no signs of it being fixed.
The breakfast was average: I asked for my bacon to be well done, but this seemed like an impossible task, as every time we had it it was the same as everyone else's. We were also unaware that we had to book breakfast everyday, so on the second day we had to wait an hour before they could fit us in, which interrupted our plans for the day.
The outside of the building is very run down, and there is a large amount of grass growing out of the guttering.
The staff tried their best but there is only so much that they can do with such a poorly maintained building and scant resources. We paid for the best room and it was not up to scratch.
We won't be using a Premier Inn again, once bitten twice shy.

Perfect spot for our night away, just visiting Plymouth for the night.

Within walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit, less than 10 mins to the National Marine Aquarium, managed to get around most of the city by foot during our stay

Parking was ample when we arrived around 2pm however by night time all spaces appeared to be taken ( Β£8 for 24 hours )

Picked a premier plus room as we stayed for leisure many other guests appeared to be visiting on business.

Really clean neat room, with everything needed.

Kind welcoming staff

Went for dinner at 7pm told there was a little wait on food which was fine as they had a few tables. Told I would have to sit in the bar area as the restaurant area was full (fair enough). The guy who greeted me said he would set my table up for me….nothing came and was set up, after waiting about 15 minutes comes to take order, but I have not been given a menu. I order and then wait 25/30 minutes for soup to come out. Then waiting for my main around 25/30 minutes, watch everyone in the restaurant be served before me (that came after me) and watching the server eating in the kitchen. Eventually had enough and got up and left, explain to the manager on duty what was the issue as they seemed oblivious, all that was said was β€œoh sorry” . Not good enough, do better
