We stayed at Poole North to have a belated Cheisdmas meet-up with our close friends. There was a small issue with the A/C system, which Rob, who assisted us with self check-in, kindly resolved by restarting the system.||||As a family, we believe that starting our day with a good breakfast is important. We arrived for breakfast around 9:45 a.m. to avoid the usual departure rush, as advised by the staff. We had booked and paid in advance and expected to be seated within a few minutes since we saw available tables, although some still needed to be cleared. Unfortunately, due to insufficient staff levels, we had to wait for about 15 to 20 minutes before we were offered a seat. After being seated, there was an additional wait of 10 to 15 minutes for cooked breakfast. There were no yogurts or fruit salad available, and the pastries were limited; we eventually managed to grab a croissant. It seemed that there was no proper system in place to accommodate booked guests, and the minimal staff available were overwhelmed with walk-ins, clearing tables, and taking payments.||||We believe this situation could have been managed better. After breakfast, we had to prepare to leave, and although the experience was frustrating. We appreciate that the two staff members we encountered were doing their best under extremely challenging circumstances.||||We would like to take this opportunity to thank and praise Rob for his warm welcome and for helping to reset the A/C.||||We would also like to recognize Karen Y, who may not have been on duty during our stay but consistently provides excellent service. It’s a shame she wasn’t available this weekend to enhance our breakfast experience.||||The hotel itself is lovely and clean, but the staffing levels and breakfast booking setup could use some improvement.

Nice warm room, comfy beds, super shower and comprehensive full English breakfast. For the sake of transparency we could hear the people above us stomping around but despite this still happy with the value for money. And complementary Christmas chocolates for our children on arrival 😋

For what we paid, the room was extremely comfortable, the staff attentive and self check-in very simple. ||However we were able to hear the occupants in the room above on the tired floorboards and water pipes knocking but this didn’t detract from the pleasant few nights we had. ||It’s a great central hotel for Poole suburbs, with easy access to Poole and Bournemouth.

1 night booked on my behalf by my employer for work related travel. Breakfast and Dinner included in the booking.

Arrived and before I could open my mouth I was ushered towards a self check in kiosk which didn't work so had to check in normally anyway.

Went up to my room to drop bags off and then came down to the restaurant for dinner. I was ignored for about 5 minutes before a surly waitress asked me if I'd booked a table. I said I should be on the list but this was arranged via my employer and I had no input in the booking. I was given a condescending explanation about how I haven't booked a table and that, despite dinner being included on my reservation, I would have to book a table in order to redeem my dinner. When I asked if I could sit down now I was told I'd have to come back in 30 minutes. I pointed to the empty restaurant (see attached picture) and asked if they were sure they couldn't accommodate me now, unfortunately, this waitress would make no exception.

30 minutes later I come back to the same, almost entirely empty restaurant, and I'm sat between 2 tables with screaming children at them (also, the only other guests in the restaurant) and am then subsequently ignored for 15 minutes before being asked if I would like anything to drink. I used this opportunity to place my order so I didn't have to wait another 15 minutes to do that. 20 minutes later my starter arrived and a further 20 minutes later my main arrived. At no point did any of the service staff ask me how my meal was.

Upon returning to my room I noticed 2 stains on the bedsheets (see pictures) and the mould across the top of the bathroom door (see picture). I didn't feel comfortable asking for an alternative room given the treatment I had received from the restaurant staff, and so I made do with the dirty bed sheets. When I got into the bed it felt as though there was sand, or some other small dirt, in the bed that was creating a lot of discomfort. Again, I did not feel comfortable requesting a new room due to my previous treatment. Clearly the bed has not been cleaned or changed, so I sat in the armchair for the remainder of the night and slept about 2 hours.

The only saving grace was that the morning staff were very pleasant. But breakfast started at 7 and I had to be at work for 07:30 so I didn't even get to have it.

I will be recommending my employer ceases using that hotel for it's staff due to my poor treatment.

I have been staying at Premier Inn Poole North regularly for over a year, and the consistent quality has been variable. ||However, I want to take this opportunity to commend a particular member of the restaurant bar staff, Punam, who truly stands out.||Having encountered Punam during both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, I can confidently say she is the embodiment of old-fashioned customer service. Always smiling, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring guests have the best experience, she goes above and beyond in everything she does.||In a time when exceptional customer service feels like a rare commodity, Punam is a shining example of what great hospitality should be. Her talent and dedication deserve recognition, and I sincerely hope Premier Inn values such a remarkable team member. Well done, and Happy New Year.

After reading some of the reviews on here we weren’t expecting much, but Poole North Premier Inn surprised us. All the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and so was the restaurant where we had breakfast. One waitress even went to the kitchen especially to get my little one a croissant when we read the pain au chocolat may contain nuts. My husband stays away a lot on business and said it was the best premier inn he’d stayed at!

Lovely rooms, really liked the look of the Social bar / restaurant.
Service at the bar was great, but service in the restaurant was terrible.
Was told to find myself a table at breakfast and it was a job finding one that didn't have dirty plates on it.
The lady who was on made no attempt to clear anything, quite bizarre.
Needs the proverbial rocket up the backside.

I have lost count of how many Premier Inns I've stayed in across the country, over the years, for business and pleasure. And yet, this one at Poole North is consistently the friendliest. Thank you Sally, Mark and team. ||I love the welcoming and modern feel of the refit too.
