After a long drive from Cornwall to Havant, I was expecting a lovely clean and prepared room for 2 acts and two lads (12&15). What we had was a room that would only sleep 3.
The room smelt musty and damp. Asked at the desk to change rooms, another room offered with correct beds but not made up. Room still smelt musty, and this time had damp / mould on the wall.
Staff made beds up, and with the window opened all night, we managed to get rid of some of the smell. The staff tried to help with additional cups, etc, but from previous experience there, this had gone downhill.
There were works being carried out in the restaurant. but we only ate at breakfast there.
Buffet for 2 mornings-which a member of staff hadn't counted on the demand for, as some items were slow to be replaced.
The gluten-free toast, which was required, was forgotten on the first morning, which ended up being burnt, so had to wait even longer whilst the rest of the party had eaten.
They had gluten-free cereal, which was a pleasant surprise and very nice.
3rd morning, breakfast was cooked to order. Everything was fresh and hot. So much better

Location wise, it's perfect for us while visiting family.

Nice clean room, clean bathroom. Good value for money. Tea coffee-making facilities. WIFI was unreliable, had to keep reconnecting and kept dropping out.
Nearby restaurant-wide selection of food.
The food was great.
very nice great service
no fried onion rings they came later
but only 2 normal it 3/4

Breakfast was the best we had for months a young man in the kitchen seemed to know how to cook good food.

Skoods

The room was spotless and comfy, with quality crisp fresh bed linens. The mattress was very comfortable leading to great night’s sleep. The shower room adequate in size with excellent powerful shower. |Key card security to lifts to rooms. All staff helpful but an extra shout out to the server in the restaurant in the evening, Kieran. He was so helpful and efficient and friendly. Given he was the only server he wasn’t flustered at all, nor was anyone ignored and there were no delays to our meals or drinks! Amazing , thank you Kieran. |There was a good menu choice and we combined the evening meal with breakfast making it really great value.

The food is fantastic.
The inn itself is separate at the moment.
However. They are in the process of expanding the Premier inn so that the restaurant becomes part of it. Rather than separate. As called the Rusty Cutter for now.
But the food is very good.

Well we arrived at 9pm after a long day travelling to be told we only had 1 room booked for 3 adults and 1 child. After advising the receptionist Lynne we had booked 2 rooms and they had to possibly find another room she went absolutely mental. Accusing us of speaking to her like rubbish, how we should be apologising to her, how she can't deal with this and stormed into the back office. She kept talking over us whilst we were trying to explain we had 2 rooms booked and would not accept to look at our email confirmation. After around 30mins she decided she had made a mistake and there were 2 rooms booked. She continuously made digs at my family about how we were disrespectful when in reality someone in customt service should not be speaking to customers like a piece of rubbish. We had never ever before experienced customer service like this. She then refused to cancel a breakfast we had booked but 1 member of the party was unable to travel and for around 20 mins argued we had to pay it for her to then turn around and cancel it!! She is so rude and disrespectful and I would not want someone like her working for my company. The rooms were disgusting our bathroom had urine stains on it, the walls were covered in coffee qnd food stain and the emergency exit door was blocked. Overall I would never return to this hotel with the bad attitude of the receptionist Lynne!! She needs to learn some manners and customer service and quick.

This was the first time i had stayed at this Premier Inn and i can honestly say it will not be the last. From Helen on reception, to Eloise and Sam in the restaurant, the experienced staff clearly know what they are doing and the service throughout was excellent (as was the food). It was a pleasant stay (for business) and nothing was too much trouble. Great team - well done to you all.

We recently stayed in this hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was a small issue with the card holder for the lights, it fell off. Lynne on reception went above and beyond to get us moved to another room. We were very impressed with the level of care and speed in which this matter was resolved. We will be looking forward to booking again very soon.

Restaurant only had 6 dishes you could order, wanted 1hr 55mins for burger and chips that was only warm unfortunately. People were nice and they apologised for not having food. None of the room keys worked within the hotel, so every time you left your room, you had to be escorted back so they could let you in.
