The lady on reception when we checked in was fantastic! She was brilliant with our girls who's birthday it was, she made a fuss of them gave them chocolates and made a note to the restaurant and they put a banner on the table for them, this lady is an absolute credit to the company.||However the room was not although nice a clean with fresh bedding, the bath had rust stains all over it and this is meant to be newly refurbished according to the website, but the worst was the heat and air-conditioning which was extremely noisy we got the AC turned on and left it running whilst we went for dinner to cool the room when we returned it was cool enough so we switched it off, at 1am I was awake because of the heat I got up to open the window for fresh air which does not open, I found a fan on a shelf and switched that on to try and cool down, at 2 am I was awake again because of the heat, the thermostat was reading 27 degrees so I switched the AC on and at 4:30 my partner was awake because of the noise of the AC unit, neither of us slept very well and when we went to complain in the morning no staff was to be found just a box to drop the card in and a QR code to leave a review, we wanted to use Thier "good night's sleep guarantee" but with no staff to speak too you cannot use this.||I think the problems are obviously regular hence why no staff the next day it's a shame as other than the morning the previous day they were fantastic and regardless of how much paid for the room when you've not slept it's never good value

Warm friendly welcome from staff - Angela and Sam. Comfortable clean, well heated room, good facilities. Good location with meal deal for connected pub next door. Pub served good food at reasonable prices. Nothing else to say but I've stayed twice and both times fine.

Very nice interior design, modern yet cosy. Excellent facilities and service. Feels very fresh and clean. The hotel makes you wanting to comeback, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. It's unbelievable that you can stay in the hotel of this quality for such adequate price.

The staff could not be faulted, welcoming and super responsive. |Kitchen, Breakfast great and really nice staff service ||Would have been 5 stars however no wifi in room. Seems not all rooms can receive it. |Suggest to check before unpacking. ||A little more investment would be appreciated. Can't expect great staff to make up this failing.

Stayed here to attend my friends wedding, after spending all day and night in heels, I was chuffed to have a room with a bath. The bed was so comfy and the room is a complete blackout so I was able to get such a good night's sleep. The staff were super friendly and my stay was seamless.

We was welcomed by a lovely lady on reception who made a fuss over our two girls because it was Thier birthday and gave them chocolates and made a note to the restaurant who put a banner on the table for them, the hotel is let down by the rooms although they were clean they are excruciatingly hot we turned on the AC and left it on while we was at dinner, when we returned it was reasonable so we turned it off as the unit itself is incredibly loud.
At 1 am I woke up because of the heat and went to open the window for air but found the windows don't open so I put on a fan that was on a shelf and went back to bed, I then woke up at 2 because of the heat which the thermostat was reading 27 degrees (I might add outside temperature was 5 degrees so absolutely no heatwave) I then turned on the AC and at half 4 both me and my partner were woken back up by the noise of the AC.
I had a horrible night's sleep, I wanted to use the good night's sleep guarantee and no membership of staff was to be found.
Premier inn prides itself on good value and best nights sleep, as I had a horrible night's sleep I don't think you can say either statement is true, it's a shame as the staff the day before were amazing but no where to be seen the next day, I would imagine after seeing other reviews this is because they actively avoid complaints in the morning
