Parking was chargeable, which was disappointing. At the very least, this could have been incorporated into the cost of the stay to not annoy and inconvenience guests. Rooms could do with a little TLC but but clean and spacious, although we noticed a bit of a damp smell mainly in the corridor. Staff were professional, helpful and friendly.

The restaurant's extract could be relocated to avoid pumping greasy smells pumping out nearby the entry/exit/walk way to the hotel.

The restaurant evening team were lovely and the food was reasonable. The restaurant had a few flies buzzing around, children were running around a bit and inappropriate dance music playing. As usual, additional costs applied to upgrade to the main menu, it is a shame as again I would rather incorporate the main menu cost I to my initial booking to avoid inconvenience.

The staff in the restaurant in the morning were efficient and friendly, the place was clean, tidy and the breakfast well done and good value for money.

It’s been a while since I stayed at the hotel the last time there was no parking charge. Thankfully this is still the norm as I was told charges were active. Hotel is still as I remember (new reception staff) who were helpful and pleasant. The room I stayed was clean and upgraded carpet and skirting boards (nice touch) Always have a positive experience when I stay here. Would highly recommend.

The Good|Identical room to our previous stay the night before in Shrewsbury.|We had the meal deal there -26.99 for a two course evening meal and breakfast. The restaurant is a beefeater so the choice is good and food is a good standard.|Breakfast was also good (and very plentiful - a good start to the day!)|The Bad|Except... No aircon so open window. As our room backed onto the M56, it was busy all night. We live in a rural area and have no traffic noise at night, but this was super loud.|All the stairs and floors creaked and it felt like it was time for a refurb.|The WIFI is rubbish - less than 1mbs. We didn't pay for their 'ultimate' as i was afraid it would be the same.|The indifferent|Parking was 14 pounds (2 pounds more than Shrewsbury premier inn ?)|Weirdly, the pillows were different to Shrewsbury premier inn - both medium not one medium and one soft.|Would use it again at a pinch, but would look for others first.

Great stay..||||Came up for a Job interview in the area and was quite anxious as I did not know anyone. A wonderful young girl called Rhiannon could see that I was very nervous as I struggle in public settings. She made me feel at ease and went above and beyond so I’d like to say thankyou very much to her.||||If I’m back in the area I’ll make sure to pick this Premier Inn !

We are regular visitors to Runcorn and this is the best hotel around. It's welcoming, clean and comfortable with great people on reception. However, the introduction of ridiculous car parking charges means we won't be staying here again - unless desperate. We are so disappointed.

Fab overnight, just what we wanted to be closer to Manchester airport which was just a 30 minute drive rather than 3 and a half hours. Easy check out, very good nights sleep and beefeater right next door for breakfast and evening meal. Would defo stay here again.

It’s been a while since I was at the Premier inn at Preston brook, but how standards have dropped. First of all you now have to pay for car parking which is outrageous, it cost me £14 for 2 nights. Secondly, although I had booked evening meal and breakfast, I had a surly woman at the Beefeater tell me I wasn’t on the list. I had to then go to reception to sort it all out. The girl on reception was new but we finally sorted things out (she was the reason I gave stars, very nice and helpful) think I will avoid though in future
