By far the worse premier inn I've ever stayed at .
All night party's going on in multiple rooms that the staff are fully aware of but will not do anything about. This happens regularly according to staff .

The premier inns own restaurant is the worse food and service I have ever encountered- half of the menu was not available and when the dishes they did have available come to the table most of the items where missing . Staff said they have run out - very slow moaning staff .

The staff finally moved my room at 0330 am but no more sleep.

The ceilings are so hollow I could hear the phone conversation upstairs

We were met by a friendly receptionist and our room was spacious & clean. The restaurant was closed in the evening but there are plenty of places to eat or grab a take away within a minutes walk. Excellent location. But the real star of the show was Summer at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. She was bright, cheerful and very kind & helpful. She is an asset to the Dog & Duck. Thank you Summer.

The bathroom was dirty - pubic hair, poo stains on walls, dirt, mould, the list goes on. I wish I'd taken more pictures. Towel had a hole the size of my fist in the middle. Noise from staff and others passing by bedroom window which was a makeshift access route behind the hotel at all hours. Area also used as a smoking spot. Given a room with a connecting door and next door had a baby that cried all night for both nights of our stay. Not the babies fault I appreciate but a bit of thought on the hotels part would have been nice to give the family a room without a connecting door which meant we could hear every cry, cough or other noise, they probably suffered our noise in reverse but we did not sleep for two nights! Kitchen out of action in the evening with no explanation and on last morning only cold buffet breakfast available as no chef, promised a refund for this and still not received 2 months later. Advised the hotel of all issues during our stay and nothing done except the provision of a new towel. Had to clean the room with wipes bought from local supermarket. Reported glass doors that had been taken off their hinges and propped up loosely in public area after a child tried to grab them and was fobbed off. Reported exposed electrical cables to a lighting post that had been knocked over outside reception, same response. Tried to complain after our visit to customer services as well as reporting at the time and have basically been told the hotel are disputing that we reported it at the time. My advice to you is avoid at all costs but if you have the misfortune of needing to stay here please email reception your concerns whilst there so that you have proof! Premier Inn I have never had cause to raise a complaint previously and so have been appalled at your response. Saman is the customer service agent we have had the misfortune of dealing with and whom has basically called us liars as your staff that did nothing to address the issues raised at the time are now denying we reported them at all! Check your CCTV for our stay for the receptiom area and you will see that we did report on both days! We will never stay with you again! Oh and the photos and info above I will be forwarding to your local Environmental Health team as if you can't get basic cleanliness and customer service right what else are you not doing properly? I dread to think what your legionella risk assessment looks like or the state of the actual kitchen, it was probably good luck that it was partially closed and we had to eat else where!

The room was clean and tidy, tea/cofee making facilities were available in the room. The bed was comfortable and the staff were all wonderful and polite. The food at the adjoining pub was fresh, breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice available. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Booked with a meal. Absolutely awful. |Firstly they have a limited menu which is basically several versions of the same curry and a microwave ham pie. |Secondly despite being nearly empty (I realise why now ) it took 30 mins to serve up a watery curry, rice and a small popadom. |Thirdly after finishing that I sat there for a further 30 mins waiting for cheese cake which never turned up, finally gave up and left, told the three bar staff who had basically been stood there doing nothing since I entered not to bother I was fed up waiting, and they really couldn’t of cared less, probably meant one of them didn’t have cross the road to Tesco to buy one anymore ||If you do have to unfortunately stay here, Pizza Hut and McDonald’s are opposite, eat there!||PREMIER INN, YOU NEED TO DO BETTER!!!

Stayed here recently and although I had a good stay it was a game of two halves between the hotel and the food.

Hotel wise it was good. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and the bed was really comfy I slept like a baby. I have no issues with the hotel side of things and would recommend this hotel.

Food wise this is where the overall rating drops a star. When I stayed I think they were doing some work at the restaurant so the evening meal menu was limited and then they didn’t have everything that was on it but the quality of the evening meal was still good. The breakfast at hotels is always make or break for me, it’s made to order which I can deal with but the quality of it was poor and not like the evening meal the night before.

The poor breakfast isn’t enough to put me off staying here again but felt it needed to be mentioned.

If I could give it minus 5 stars I would....... absolutely dreadful. 2 night stay and the room was OK as you'd expect from a Premier Inn but the food and restaurant were dire. 2 hours waiting for food each night, lost orders, wrong food bought out, repeat orders bought to the table. I cannot explain how poor it was. Avoid at all costs as everyone I spoke to said its been like this for a couple of months since they started their own food and no sign of getting better. Stick to the travelodge up the road xx

The evening of our arrival we were greeted by a very nice female member of staff, helpful and polite. She advised us that we could add breakfast to our stay the next Morning which we were really happy about. ||However the next day came and me and my partner made our way over to the restaurant, to meet other family members who were staying at your establishment.||we noticed a female staff member back logged with a few customers paying their bill, so to ease the pressure we proceeded to sit down with our family to say morning and then go back and book onto breakfast. Instead of a friendly greeting and a " I'll be with you in a moment please take a seat " we were greated with a " who are you ?" Which got us both on the back foot immediately. ||As we sat down with family they had told us they had been waiting 20mins to place their orders. ||My brother who has a 4yr daughter had to use a napkin as a plate for his daughters toast as there wasn't any available at the table. ||||It only gets worse, as the female came over to eventually take our order, there was no apology for the delay.||My other brother stood up and went to complain at the front desk as it was 30mins in total waiting. ||The female member of staff then raised her voice at me and my family including my other who tried to reassure her that our frustration wasn't actually with her as we had empathy for her since it appeared she was on her own dealing with a slightly busy restaurant for breakfast. ||The female member of staff took no notice of my mothers kind and reassuring words and instead started to increase the level of her voice and started swearing at us and been very very rude and disrespectful. ||We later found that the female member of staff was actually the on duty manager!!! ||This is absolutely appalling and I have never witnessed such bad hospitality from a hotel.||||||I have to give a 1/5 as an option of 0 isn't available.||||Me and my family will never be staying at this establishment again and we will be urging others not to do the same.
