The room was perfect apart from being extremely hot. I accept that it was on the hottest day of the year but air conditioning would have been very welcome. A fan had been provided.|| If you are placed at the end of the hotel it is advised that the walk to the later rooms is quite long especially with luggage on a hot day. There is also no lift which is specified on the website. The hotel is only on 2 floors though.||Staff were attentive, car parking easy and hotel very clean.||Overall a good experience to be expected from Premier Inn.||Very short drive to Whitstable and other coastal attractions.

Staff were friendly but the hotel needs updating. No air conditioning, and rooms are very stuffy and hot. No water available in the vending machine or in the restaurant, no wine, only 1 type of beer available, staff apologising for lack of stock. In this warm weather you would expect a hotel to at least have a stock of water, but they had nothing and recommended me to go to Aldi or M&S to get water.

Let's start with the good stuff; great location, 5 minute taxi/bus ride into town, excellent staff - very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is freshly made and really good.

Now the not so great stuff;
Rooms are hot and stuffy - there is no air conditioning.
No stand alone shower. You have to climb into the bath for a shower. Not good for the less agile. (Fortunately they managed to find us a disability suite with a wet room.)
Ran out of food in the restaurant! Even though it was a Sunday, this is a definate no-no. We ended up with an insipid looking macaroni cheese. Lots of people were not happy, which put a downer on everything. The waitress was under a lot of pressure, but did her best to sort things out (with her limited powers) and knocked our drinks off the bill.
No room available for early check-in.
I'm probably being a bit picky here, but the entrance isn't that easy to spot. Could do with some more welcoming signage.
Decor is a bit dark and dreary, and, in general the place could do with a bit of a refresh.

(FYI some of the photos show the Long Reach pub at the front of the hotel. This is now closed and derelict, and is not part of the hotel.)

The hotel decor was very dated and did not meet the standard currentlyb advertised by Premier Inn.. Bed was not great. Shower was an over the bath with a shower curtain. Shower ran hot and cold. The bath was also very high so could be difficult for some people to get into. No handrails in Shower. No air-conditioning and fan provided didn't do a lot.

Great location, just a walk or short bus ride into town.
The breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful.
Especially Izzy, 2 of my grandchildren have allergies and Izzy made the whole breakfast experience so easy! She could not have been more helpful! Every hotel should have an Izzy!

Great setting for Kent coast trip. Welcoming and friendly staff.Bedroom/bathroom clean and comfortable. Great shower and bath. Enjoyed tasty breakfast. However, overall setting is dark and rundown, which may put people off as it looks uncared for.

I have regularly stayed at PI over the years and have never felt the need to write a review as they have always been good value and perfectly acceptable.||This hotel however has gone down hill. When you arrive you first see a dilapidated and closed Beefeater. The hotel is now tired and in need of a refresh. There is no air conditioning and the rooms are cooled by a noisy fan and furthermore the toilet wouldn’t flush unless you allowed a long time for the system to fill. There was also not a rubber mat in the bath which made having a shower treacherous. ||Breakfast is now served in a small dull room and as a vegetarian the options were limited.||Very disappointing and not what I expect of PI.
