This is a budget hotel just outside the city walls and close to the railway station in York. It has limited on site parking at ยฃ14 per night. Our check in at 3pm was smooth and our room clean, tidy and well maintained. We slept well. Our main disappointment was the cooked breakfast buffet which was luke warm at best, and certainly not worth the ยฃ15 pre-booked price we paid. There are probably lower price and better quality breakfast offerings in the cafe's nearby.

That was nice stay at this Premier inn. Very welcoming staff. Good service. Rooms were comfy and clean. Feel fresh inside room. Great location just minutes away from train station and town centre as well as other interesting points of York city. Happy to recommend and defo would like to stay here when back to York.

Can someone in a management position sort out the problems with breakfast at this hotel? While we ate our cold belated food we could only feel sorry for the over worked few staff trying their best to keep serving meals as the hot buffet was broken. The word shambles comes to mind not just the street in York either. Room was OK, a/c worked, good hot shower no issue with cleanliness. Street noise noticeable. 5 mins walk to station. Wouldn't stay again.

Dropped a couple of bags off earlier than check in, collected and check in was quick and easy. Room was located end of corridor, so quiet as no passing people. Sadly no view at all as down side of building looking onto another building and passageway.

For my taste, mattress too soft and pillows too flat

Room looked recently redecorated with large double shower, not as cramped as other premier inns that Iโ€™ve stayed in

Breakfast was very good , as usual. Although it was very busy as during school holidays

Excellent location , 5 mins walk from train station

Comfortable room. Bit tired looking, carpet bit worn.No USB sockets but reception lent us a plug. Restaurant is fantastic although we had to go out of our bit and walk along to get to it but it was worth it.

Fantastic stay here for a weekend in York. Just under a 10 minute walk from the train station, very close to the town centre and local sites. Check-in was quick and easy. Checked in at 3pm, check-out at 12pm. We had a plus room which was a nice addition. The room was spacious, huge bed, wardrobes, hairdryer, TV, tea and coffee facilities, a wet room bathroom. Very clean. The room is very quiet unless you have the window open then you can hear the cars below. We didnโ€™t eat in the hotel so canโ€™t comment on that. Good value for money especially considering how close-by everything is, no need to get taxis. Would definitely recommend for a trip to York.

Staff were lovely. Room was exactly as expected (part of Premier Inn's charm) and pretty cheap. Location is great for getting to York, though there's no parking at all, and finding it is potentially confusing when walking from the station.

You stay in a Premier Inn because its trusted. The road noise kept us awake and the pub was dirty (walls covered in spills, chef dragged cloth over the tomatoes). Breakfast was short on everything (but they topped it up eventually).||The air con was good and the room and bed were clean and comfy. The bar shuts at 9.45 (last orders) so its not rowdy residents!||I'd stay if you don't mind the cars, busses and people noise from the street and if not eating.
