I was booked this hotel for work and was there for the month. I can't sing my praises enough about every member of staff that works here, from the hotel reception, to the housekeeping team and the Beefeater team next door. I was pretty nervous the first time I stayed, I'd not been to any hotels alone before, but the team were so welcoming, there was nothing that they couldn't help me with. ||Each week I was there, I would have to check out and back in again at the start of the week, and by the third week the lovely girl on reception (I didn't get her name, sorry!) recognised me and remembered my name - which was a small touch but made me feel welcome. From when I locked myself out my room, to when I was running late to check out, the whole team was lovely. ||I was booked on a breakfast package for the Beefeater, and once again, everyone was absolutely wonderful there. Mitchell (I think his name was - the manager with the glasses) was extremely friendly each morning, always greeting everyone with a smile and welcoming every guest personally. Again, there were so many stand out staff part of the team, including the person who followed me outside to return my airpods I'd left behind. ||It could be a bit isolating staying by yourself away from your home, but everyone who works here made that feeling drift away immediately, the food both for breakfast and on the evenings were always lovely, with the best service. The atmosphere was lovely, the rooms were always clean, and the staff were available 24/7. To say that everything was and everyone was lovely would be a disservice, I can't thank everyone enough for making me feel welcome, and my stay lovely.

We chose this Premier Inn as we were aware the city center would be extremely busy what with it been half term and the Viking festival going on. We had done our own research and had identified the number 10 bus route was about 400 meters away. It costs £1.50 into town where as a taxi would cost between £12 and £15. ||We were greeted by a very friendly lady on reception, we had requested an early check in as we were eager to get into town. This was all ready for us on arrival and we were soon on our way. The room was very clean and spacious and had everything we would ever require during our stay.||We had breakfast and evening meals at the neighboring Beefeater. Only one slight issue, the coffee machine was broken so a jar of instant coffee had ||been left for guests to help themselves. Now I don't like to be pushy but..... if I'm staying in a posh hotel I would expect to get a proper cup of coffee in the morning. That said, Mitch the staff member who seemed to be always on duty was very pleasant and helpful and couldn't do enough for the guests. For me he was the stand out staff member from this trip. ||Would I stay here again, absolutely it was ideal for our visit to York.

Very comfortable ||Meal deal or WiFi not explained properly. So paid more than needed for Meals||Wifi slow and not informed we could upgrade. Bathroom extractor noisy.||Meals good though. Parking good. Good value for money. Very clean and quiet.

Stay here was mixed where I was there for 4 nights and first 2 nights I was put in a room with several issues from toilet door handle falling off to light not working in toilet to vents not working then having them repaired and only to find that when the toilet light was switched on that the vents in our sleeping area would kick in and extremely noisy so couldn’t sleep at all with it and stayed in long after light switch turned off. ||Now the good where staff are amazing and couldn’t help enough once told of issues and put you at ease . All staff are a credit to the hotel

The Hotel is what you'd expect but it's the staff that made this for us it's a quiet area and has some great local amenities my partner and myself went for our first anniversary we had never been to a hotel before and didn't know what to expect the first room we had wasn't exactly what we'd like and we explained to the front desk they were so kind and changed our room immediately even though we never asked they even asked us to check it was to our standards before deciding and made us feel like we wasn't just customers but actual people we mentioned when we arrived it was our first anniversary during idle chatter and we had a beautiful suprise of candles rose petals and balloons even a a lovely card and flowers! Made us feel really special and important! (Although the missus thought i did it to propose...) but the beds are comfy and warm had amazing night's sleep and the shower was easy to use probly one the best ones I've used!

Location is a bit out of the way if you're visiting York city centre, but fine if you're passing through. Food is good in the neighbouring Beefeater pub. Generally, everything you would expect from a Premier Inn, apart from a 'surprise' in the room. Pulling out the extra pillows from the upper wardrobe revealed a previous occupant had decided to stash 9 empty beer cans behind them. Not a great job by housekeeping.

I have stayed in many premier inns over the years from Birmingham to Weston, and Iv always found them good value for money.||I booked a family room at this PI, the room was tiny, it was definitely just a double room with a sofa bed. We were staying for two nights with a child, which they knew from the booking, yet the sofa bed was not made up and bedding was not left in the room. The room smelt so musky, it was awful. There was no fridge, the bathroom was mouldy, skirting boards filthy and carpet needed a good clean!||It was really reasonable price and great location with plenty of free parking.||York itself was great fun.||We had breakfast at the beefeater next door and an evening meal one night, the food was really good (I wasn’t expecting it would be) they also accept blue light discount - winner!||I would stay here again as it is good value for money, but it needs a serious refurb!

This is not the best Premier Inn we have stayed at as it's very much in need of updating. Overall, it was good enough for the few nights that we were there. Clean and comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and approachable. Breakfast in the restaurant next door was great. We would return for a short visit.
