I stayed at the prince bishops guest house for 3 days with my partner and little boy. I was a little concerned after reading one of the reviews left of trip advisor , however it couldn't be further from the truth. The owners couldn't do enough to help us there was a wide selection at breakfast along with a great cooked breakfast of our choice. Room was extremely spacious and clean with fresh towels every day. I would definatley stay here again next time I'm in the durham area. Thank you him and Judith for making us so welcome. 🙂

We just needed one night to break out long journey from Kent via Bedford to Northumberland. Kindly welcome, clean & comfortable rooms, Tasty breakfast. We were sad that the BBC TV sound wasn't working because it was the last night of the Proms!

We stayed with another couple in this Guesthouse for two nights 16th and 17th June, 2017. The place is situated at a main road with heavy traffic. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. I could feel the springs. Very tiny TV screen. Our friends could not watch any TV as the areal needed repair. Bathroom needs a real good scrub. No chair that one could sit down at the tiny desk. I am writing this on the bed. Need a car to go to a pub. It is classified as a 3 Star Guesthouse is less than that.

Amazing Breakfast. Lovely host . Room was spacious & clean with tea, coffee & hot chocolate. Local to Durham Town centre with short bus ride. Would stay again

Spent some time here... rooms were OK, just your average guest house, nothing special. Room was rarely cleaned or dusted||||The proprietor always had that 'someones ** on my cornflakes' look on her face every single morning that came around, which to me goes against the grain of what you should be trying to promote, which is a happy, pleasant living space for your guests.||||But the thing that really, really angered and upset me was the attitude of this persons partner/husband - a horrid man who was rude, aggressive, objectionable, very dim witted and who seemed to emit a quite ghastly odour of fish.||||This is certainly not an establishment I would visit again in a hurry or ever for that matter...

I just needed one night as I was collecting my son from Uni. The room was clean and comfortable, location was very convenient and the breakfast was excellent. Could not have asked for more. They have four rooms and it is best to book direct if possible.

Stayed here for a wedding we were attending in Durham, very friendly and welcoming owners , breakfast was great , we had the family room which was very spacious clean and tidy. Excellent location for Durham centre would defiantly return 🙂
