We stayed at Prince Hall for a weekend away in the gorgeous Dartmoor countryside. It was an absolutely stunning house, with an amazing hotel overlooking the Dartmoor hills. Such a great house with 9 very spacious en suite rooms. Ideal for a weekend with friends and also very kid friendly. Sam was very responsive to all emails in the lead up to the weekend away. Great equipped kitchen too! I would highly recommend.

Just returned after an amazing night at this house. The staff were first class, the food was literally amazing, reasonably priced but so so tasty. I recommend the steak. The bar is quiet but has a large range of drinks. The option of having your dog is a real draw, it’s always a worry taking a dog to a hotel, here it was a breeze. We felt very comfortable, will definitely be returning here.

Our wonderful getaway location - just up the road! We have been coming here for a few years for short breaks and absolutely love the Hotel, it comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms, the location, the food and the atmosphere! We are dog loving outdoor types and from a beautifully comfortable and tasteful base we can walk from the front door by foot or travel to enjoy what Dartmoor has to offer. The food is always absolutely delicious and satisfying. We are always made to feel so welcome and love finding excuses to visit.

Took my husband here for his birthday. What an amazing place in the middle of the moors steeped in history and lovely views of the country side. Our room was light and airy with a sleigh bed and very spacious we even had a bath. Our meal in the evening was fantastic we both had rump steak cooked to perfection with local veg. After a good nights sleep we went down for breakfast it was waitress service everything cooked to order and very nice it was to. The other guests were nice and friendly as were the staff. Would definitely recommend Prince Hall for that special occasion.

Decided to book a one night stay due to location and being dog friendly.||Dogs can go anywhere except the restaurant. This was fine as the bar room area and sitting room were lovely to relax and have breakfast/dinner/a drink in. Dog towels are set out for use in the porch, treats are in a jar on the reception table.||The rooms are spotless and fresh looking. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful surroundings.||The food was fantastic here. We decided to have dinner here and i'm glad we did. For breakfast you pick a starter and main, toast was also supplied with tea or coffee. No fry-up but you won't be disapointed with the choices which are cooked and presented to a really high standard. Best breakfast at a hotel you'll get!||We would certainly return. Thank you. Oh and the young , Canadian waitress - you will do well at whatever you decide to do, but i hope you decide on the veterinary degree 🙂

As an owner of two dogs a good walk through beautiful countryside is on my list of much loved things to do. Dartmoor is certainly not without plenty of dog friendly places to rest your head or enjoy a pint after a stroll yet the Prince Hall now tops my list of places to enjoy a drink with my four-legged friends at my feet while in the Princetown area. ||Prince Hall was an unexpected find...It offered my partner and i, plus dogs, a location to have a quick restorative drink after a day out on the moor. We weren’t staying at the hotel (and much to my horror my dogs decided to misbehave) however we were welcomed in all the same. ||The gorgeous moorland setting, cosy interiors including a collection of interesting abstract art, plus the decent drinks menu will make you and your pooch feel at home. ||Once back at my holiday cottage rental a google search found that Prince Hall has an interesting history. |||

We stayed at Prince Hall for a Surprise 50th. The house was stunning and had everything we could possibly need.

There was so much to do, a great games room with pool, table tennis, darts, table football, a BBQ on the patio, hot tub, sauna, board games and plenty of books. The location is beautiful. We were very lucky with the weather and some of our party went walking out in the moors straight from the property.

The rooms were all large, clean and very comfortable!

I cannot recommend staying here enough, we all had a wonderful time and made some incredible memories!

We love this place - have stayed here many times but visited today for a cream tea after a walk on the moors. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the cream teas are amazing. Also dogs are very welcome and everybody is made to feel at home.
