Very grateful to Margaret for hosting my friend and I who attended a wedding a Shustoke Barn recently (only a couple minutes drive/10 minute walk from Priory Farmhouse). Margaret was a wonderful host, we had a comfy stay in this beautiful house with beautiful garden and countryside views. Definitely recommend staying here!

Margaret is very welcoming and the house is very quaint. However our overall experience was very disappointing as the house was very cold as the central heating was switched off and substituted with individual electric heaters even though it was below freezing both nights of our stay. The ensuite heater was switched off and the on/off switch taped over. Our bedding felt damp and cold. Breakfast was just cereal and toast. We would not return.

Such a beautiful home and a wonderful host Margaret, who welcomed me and my partner into her beautiful home and immediately gave us a tour of the building and the format of coming and going. Her home is complimentary of a wonderful garden both front and back bursting with plants, flowers and wildlife. A true countryside B&B definitely worth staying at. We attended a wedding 0.5mi down the road at Shustoke wedding venue which was perfect distance to walk to. The following morning Margaret had prepared our continental breakfast which was a delicious wide variety of oats, cereal, fruit, jams and spreads, toast and butter, yoghurt and a pot of tea. Overall, extremely satisfied with the hospitality and cosiness of her home would definitely recommend to stay here.

Firstly the few good points...ideal location for a wedding in fabulous Shustock Barn.Margaret is an excellent host,very welcoming. |We were very disappointed with our family room upstairs...not easy to access up a narrow staircase carrying weekend luggage. The family room has a VERY tiny, scruffy shower room....to get into the bedroom you have to duck beneath a low beam( even our 9 year old granddaughter had to duck)Very difficult for my husband who walks with a stick...we had to leave a light on all night. Our bed was uncomfortable with creaky springs...Margaret had put hot water bottles in both beds due to the cold room.We left the plug in heater on all the time.The towels were old and scratchy.The toilet does not flush properly...3 flushes just foe paper! The breakfast is cereals and toast in attractive but chilly dining room...The lounge was also unheated(15°) so we just waited upstairs until it was time to go to the venue...no good lights for doing hair / make-up. We stayed for 2 nights...couldn't have stayed any longer....not worth the money.Book a hotel instead!

I stayed at this lovely little B&B whilst at a wedding at Shustoke Barn which is only a few minutes drive or a 10 minute walk from the venue. The B&B is lovely with lots of character which I loved. The room and breakfast was first class, I couldn’t have asked for more. Margaret is such a great host and was very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely stay at this property again if I’m in the area.

We were welcomed so warmly by Margaret. The bedroom was such a good size with a comfortable bed.|The generous breakfast was delicious.|On the day of the event we were to attend, our booked cab did not turn up. We were left standing in pouring rain (two at 80+ with one of them registered blind which the cab company knew) for half an hour and then Margaret went above and beyond to take us in her car. Thank you Margaret for that.|
