It's a big big YES from us, what a wonderful stay we had in the Oriental Brewhouse adjoined to The Priory House. We spent two nights in this wonderful building, a grade II listed Elizabethan long house. From the moment we saw the photos it drew us in and you will not be disappointed when you enter. The building and its contents will wrap you in calm and peace. The stunning wood panelling was brought in by famous explorer Sir Francis Younghusband from Karachi India. Whether you are interested in history or appreciate fascinating, beautiful eclectic decor or both, this self catering accommodation will enthral your senses. The spiral wrought iron staircase will lead you to a mezzanine bedroom with opening velux windows that let in enough light but not too much to kill the restful space. There is very pretty kitchen with oven and hob, and a selection of cooking equipment. The bathroom/toilet has a small walk in shower and a beautiful Victorian sink. With plenty of lighting options you can create ambience to suite in the main room of the building.
Carole and Roger you are perfect hosts and it was a delight and pleasure to meet you and enjoy such a restful experience. Thank you both, we will definitely be returning 😀.

Absolutely fantastic and unique B&B run by an equally unique hostess, Carol, and her husband. The house is beautiful, and Carol has filled it from top to bottom with a fabulous collection of objects from all corners of the globe. Our room - Versailles - was absolutely beautiful, with the most comfortable quilt I have ever had. Lots of heart, and visitors should be aware that this is an historic home with single glazed windows, slightly wonky floors and bathroom facilities that are absolutely in keeping with the house, but may not suit lovers of typical chain hotels. Really exquisite, and we were absolutely charmed by Carol and stories of her travels. A real feast for all the senses, and a true original!

As you'd expect from the blurb, photos and reviews you can find on Priory House, this place is not the normal b+b! It's a beautiful house full of curiosity everywhere. ||It might not suit everyone as it is full of collectibles, nick nacks and clutter, but it is a treasure trove to explore. |The bedrooms are no exception and they are each given their own theme/style, each full of items hoarded over the years. They are large bedrooms with equally large bathrooms, each with views over the gardens. One thing to note which won't suit everyone is that the bedroom doors don't have keys. You can lock them from the inside, but you can't lock them if you go out. You feel like you're staying with friends or family rather than at a b+b so we didn't find this a problem at all, but for some I'd imagine this to be a little offputting. Carol is very pleasant and happy to chat with you about the house's history, which makes it an even more enjoyable and interesting stay. We only saw Roger briefly when we arrived, but he too was very pleasant. ||The downstairs rooms are decorated with outlandish elegance and the gardens are magnificent. ||It's just the most interesting and uniquely quirky place you'll every stay, maybe even visit, and even if it's not your normal style of stay it's definitely worth a visit at least once as you're certain not to experience it anywhere else.

This is a converted English 'long-house' next to Priory House. Very impressive arty space with large downstairs lounge, kitchen, bathroom area, with bedroom on mezanine accessed by spiral stair case. Large safe, secluded grounds with outside seating for evening drinks etc. Hosts Carole and Roger very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend this, close to a national treasure.

This is definitely a place to visit if you want somewhere different to stay. We've stayed in a lot of places in and around Grantham and would say this was up at the top of our list. If you want a sterile, clinical, uninteresting place to stay then don't stay here, this place lights your imagination and immediately puts a smile on your face. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable decorated in the same style as the rest of the house. Breakfast in the morning was to your specification and plenty of it. Lovely hosts, lovely place well worth a visit.

Just had my son and daughter-in-law's wedding here. The venue is definitely full of many talking points. There are so many great photo opportunities to be had. Every room is full of individual items of memorabilia. Carole and Roger are attentive hosts, who try to meet every need. Between them they have a wealth of local, national and international knowledge.||The venue is ideal for a small intimate wedding and can accommodate 60. ||We have come away with many happy memories which will remain with us for years to come. ||||I recommend Priory House
