The house reminds me of my home settings: clean, heated wooden flooring, large kitchen, enormous rooms, plenty of space. The host Jason is a very friendly person and helps to assist you in any possible way! I was late for a check-in time but had no problems with it.

It is a great place to forget about the rat race and fully enjoy the moment of peacefulness!

Stayed here whilst visiting family nearby and we both loved it. It’s in a really nice location, near shops but feels like you’re right in the countryside. Has amazing gardens with willow trees and inside is great too, really airy spacious rooms, nice and cool in the heat and nicely decorated. Jason is a great host too, very welcoming and helpful but not too invasive. Liked it so much we are looking at renting the whole property for a family get together in the summer.

I have found the Private Luxury Retreat a wonderful place to stay. I have stayed there for approximately 14 months out of the past two years as my business is local. It is quiet, the garden is big and the whole experience is very relaxing. The new host, Jason, is very welcoming, his food is good and he attends to your every need. If you're looking for an out-of-town experience then i'd say this is the place.||||Alistair Jones

We were very disappointed on arrival at the Hotel, overall maintenance was much to be desired, the host was scruffy and not very welcoming. On to the bedroom, shower and sink very clean and modern, no tea making facilities in room and no tv or radio, mattress had seen better days, torn cushion on the bed, furnishing okish, net curtains only, breakfast if you want to make it yourselves with your own ingredients, we payed but decided not stay, was offered discount if we make a visit next time !!

This place is a little Gem, & is really good for the money. We were made to feel at ease immediately & extremely well looked after by Jason, the proprietor - Who couldn't have been more helpful & attentive. Newly refurbished & set in pretty grounds - there is a quirky yet modern feel to the property. Loved it, and the breakfast was 1st class x

Positive: My daughter and her friend was there 10/20 minutes, then left the property with no wishes to stay there under no circumstances.. Negative: My daughter and and her best friend arrived for a birthday treat from myself for one night at what was advertised as luxury retreat... I book for a overnight stay in a 191 square feet room including private bathroom garden views with many more a Deluxe suite... I called and spoke to the manager Jason the following morning to say the girls will be arriving before 1pm as check in was from 12 midday.. Jason kindly said I have upgraded the girls to the suit it’s literally a apartment on its own, sky TV ECT ECT ... (as when it asked any special requests I wrote it was my daughter birthday) .. I was very grateful and so happy and excited for my daughter and her friend ... when they arrived they was NOT shown to a upgrade or even to a deluxe room which I paid for in full the night before... although my daughter said Jason welcomed them and was nice they was shown to a room with NO locks on the door for there Securty.. wardrobes with shirts ect hanging up, socks and underwear in drawers plus letters of council Tax payments plus appointment letters for other kinds in the drawer’s .... Dust sheets thrown over furniture... This is not what they expect and certainly is not the place I would want my daughter to stay at... we then had to go onto looking and booking for another place which by the time they done that and settled in the day/early evening was then rattled by all the uncomfortableness that my daughter endured that day... My daughter and myself have tried on many occasions to speak with Jason to rectify this and get a full refund in which Jason has unprofessionally call me at nearly 11pm at night and on the Friday night when the main phone calls and texts was exchanged, I was addressed with someone who was intoxicated clearly and using every excuse he could to get out of this conversation...

I had a wonderful and peaceful time staying here. The room was very comfortable, special Thanks to Andy for his kindness. He was super friendly and incredibly helpful. Thank you all so much. Hope to be back again soon.

I stayed at the Private Luxury Retreat with my daughter on Friday and had the most relaxing and comfortable experience. The host was so attentive and kind and could not do enough for us. The place was spotless and the the surrounding great for walks.||||I highly recommend.||||Maria
