Amazing hotel|We visited this hotel on a coach holiday. The communal areas were spotless and very inviting. The room was also spotless, very clean, warm and quiet. All the staff were amazing especially the man behind the bar/chef. Couldn't do enough for us. It's been a long time since a member of a hotel team went above and beyond customer care that he showed. A credit to the team. We enjoyed our stay very much. Breakfast was also tasty.

I was checked in smoothly.
I then went to the room...and it was a single. So I questioned it, because I'd booked a standard (double or so I thought via a booking platform)

The booking platform confirmation didn't really clear up what I had booked. So not sure where the blame lies on this misunderstanding, but a standard room in my mind would be a double.

Room was warm with an efficient radiator. The bathroom was more of a wet room (no curtain to prevent the toilet seat or potentially the toilet paper becoming wet). The shower itself was good (2 different shower heads) and a good pressure.

The ground floor is accessible for wheelchair use....but outside it's multiple steps to enter the hotel. An oversight.

There's a bar with a limited menu. I ate both nights and noticed that the price had increased by £2 over a 2 night stay.

I didn't have breakfast but the menu seemed adequate for most.

Would stay again.

In the parking area there are many many signs about paying for parking.... don't pay immediately when you arrive and pay £5 per night at reception.(You will save money!)

Found it odd that the USB charging point was as far as it could be from the bed in the room

Good value for money, just a one night stay while away with work. Comfortable room and everything worked, although a bit dated. Friendly staff. Noise seemed to come through fairly easily from outside. Charging for parking also seems fairly unnecessary when it is basically the only way of getting there, not near anything else and not published that parking is extra when booking.

What a lovely beautiful gem. The rooms were cosy, spotless and a nice size. The reception staff were very efficient and polite. This is my second stay and will visit again. I truly recommend for a 3 star hotel. One of the nicest places in Coventry

Just stayed overnight and what a pleasant Hotel! The staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are warm and clean and recently refurbished and the food is great value and delicious. I cannot understand why anybody would leave a negative review!

Stayed for 2 nights with work. Smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Dated carpets and decor, no wardrobe, just a shelf to hang clothes on. Feels like lower budget (with the greatest respect) than a Travelodge but at around twice the price. |The room at the front of the hotel was directly facing the dual carriageway which was about 20 metres away. That plus the poorly performing double glazing had the effect of every car whizzing by feeling like I was sat on the hard shoulder, such was the noise level. Paper thin curtains did nothing to blockout the noise or the near 5000watt street lamp shining directly into my room. The paper thin walls did nothing to deafen the noises from guests in other rooms or in the corridors. Consequently I had a very poor night's sleep and woke-up feeling terrible.|The restaurant was poor, the menu very limited and the decor and atmosphere was depressing. I felt the need to get out of there quickly or I may never leave. Felt like I was on death row. |I found myself staring wistfully and longingly across the dual carriageway at the Windmill Village Hotel directly across the road. The people; smiling, happy to be there, enjoying their time, content, peaceful and appreciated and in nice surroundings. 'Sigh'.|I stayed here for two nights. After the first night I even considered leaving and paying to go somewhere else at my own expense, just so I didn't have to suffer again this awful place. The hotel feels unkempt, unhappy and unloved which is how I felt when I drove slowly away...

Stayed in an upgraded (King) room at back of hotel, which was fine - new furnishings, good shower. Rest of the hotel is old and not so good - bar / restaurant is basic with loud TV. Very limited menu (especially as run out of rice, so chips with everything!) although the food was passable. It's all clean at least, and facilities are reflected in the competitive price, hence the rating, and compared to the awful looking Britannia hotel next door, it's luxury!

Having read some of the reviews I found them a bit harsh. Currently staying at this hotel, lovely twin room at the back. Super comfy bed, and everything you would require from hair dryer to iron and board. The room is warm enough even without heating on which is welcomed.|Breakfast has everything you need from a hot/cold buffet. The full breakfast was very good, constantly being topped up with freshly made items.|Would definitely stay here again and would recommend.
