Quayside Cafe in Colwick has reasonable coffee and serves a delicious breakfast. The portion size was fair, and the prices were very reasonable, making it value for money.

Unfortunately, the wifi wasn’t working during my visit, which was disappointing as I had planned to work from the cafe for a couple of hours while my car windscreen was being replaced nearby. The lack of wifi, combined with a weak phone signal, meant I had to leave earlier than I’d intended.

Overall, it’s a nice cafe with good food and drink, but having reliable wifi would make it even better, especially for those wanting to stay longer.

Dog friendly. Lots of choice. Lovely food. My partner had the full English, couldn't finish it, he did go for the king size. We don't like tomatoes and had the option to substitute this with another item, normally you just get more beans. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I had the pancakes, delicious, if I had to make a criticism, I could have done with one more strawberry. Definitely will be going and taking my friends and family.

The cafe has a nice ambiance and is beautifully decorated, which initially set high expectations.

I ordered the Shakshuka, Slim Breakfast, and the "Award-Winning" Americano coffee. Unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming.

The Shakshuka was one of the most disappointing versions I’ve tried. It was essentially a poached egg dropped into raw tomato puree, lacking any depth of flavor or seasoning. The Americano was equally disappointing—watery, with no distinct aroma or flavor that one would expect from an award-winning coffee.

I approached the counter to provide feedback and requested a replacement dish. The chef was called in but seemed indifferent to my comments, dismissing my concerns by stating there had been no prior complaints. Despite the lackluster response, I ordered an omelette instead.

Overall, while the ambiance was inviting, the quality of the food and customer service fell short of expectations.

Thought we would give this place a try.

Unusual setting in an industrial unit, but benefits from parking right outside the door.

Called on a Saturday and it was pretty busy, and also pretty noisy. Quite a few younger families and groups.

Managed to get a table not far from the open door, which was quite chilly.

I ordered the pancakes which were lovely, covered in fresh fruit. The only downside is they were a little cold.

Partner had the large cooked breakfast, slightly greasy and obviously pre cooked.

Prices were competitive, so on the whole not bad value.

They were served very promptly, and everything was absolutely delicious and filling as usual.
It's a lovely venue and dog friendly.

Came here after seeing it on Facebook a few times and knowing if the owners.

It's lovely and spacious, welcoming, child, dog and wheelchair friendly.

Plenty of seats and a wide open kitchen so you see everything being cooked.

Friendly staff especially one lady, who was very approachable, nothing was too much trouble, I think she was the manager, but not 100% sure.

Will definitely be coming again.

Great breakfast and very efficient service. Including clearing the decks. Coffee is also very nice. It got a little noisy as its quite a large place but that's just me being picky. No doubt will be going again.
Did I mention it's dog friendly, which is always good.

Good big breakfast. & another visit for a spot on eggs Benedict. It’s a lovely, well decorated and popular place. Great customer service. We visited on a Sunday morning. Service was quick. Good selection of food. Dogs welcome too.
