Four of us (two sisters and husbands) stayed in the barn - perfect. The accommodation for four was very comfortable and so good to have our own well appointed area. We obviously went across to the house for breakfast which, as expected, was first class. We were made very welcome and enjoyed our chats with the owners. We would all certainly recommend Queensberry.

Jan and Malcolm are the most generous hosts I have ever met. Very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay memorable and wonderful. Beautiful setting, and only a few minutes drive to Newmarket. Breakfast is set in a beautiful greenhouse attached to the main house, and everything from continental to the full English breakfast. If you are a fan of horse racing and in the area to tour Newmarket, the National Stud, the Downs etc..., this is the place to stay. Malcolm is a former amateur jockey and horse enthusiast and can fill you in on anything you want to know and point you in the direction for tours and/or must see things to do. Very welcoming and warm atmosphere, quiet, relaxing, and they have a gorgeous backyard to enjoy the sun and gardens. Highly recommend this place and WHEN I'm back in the area again, this will be my number 1 choice to stay.

We chose Queensberry from two properties advertised in the 'Little Green Book,' the bed and breakfast nationwide brochure. This publication gives a coloured photograph and description, name, address and telephone number along with e-mail and web address if available. ||||Our destination was Ely,so we wanted somewhere nearby to enable us time to visit as many places as possible. One place did not reply promptly, whilst Queensberry were very quick to respond to my enquiry. Queensberry is a period house on the outer edge of Fordham village and has appeared in some TV travel programmes. It is situated near Newmarket (horse-racing centre) as well as being close to Ely, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Duxford War Museum and other places of interest.||||Jan and Malcolm are the proprietors who provide a homely atmosphere and welcome for their guests. Parking is spacious and set back off the road. We were shown to a cottage in the grounds with two floors. Our room was on the upper floor with a small shower room and the use of a galley kitchen for tea facilities or using the microwave, along with the use of a fridge. Along the corridor from us was a suite with a double bedroom, en suite shower and a sitting/dining room.||Our room was clean and comfortable but we would have preferred it to be a little more spacious as it felt There are larger rather 'cramped.' There are larger rooms, so its best to ask when booking! The cost was £80 per night with a continental breakfast.||I thought it strange that there was only a continental breakfast on offer, but later, after arrival, learned that you could have a cooked breakfast, but that would cost £5 extra. An apology was given for failing to disclose this option upon booking. ||Breakfast is in the garden room amidst colourful flowers and plants and served between 7 - 9am. We had warm croissants, selection of cereals and yoghurts, toast with various jams and cheeses and a variety of fresh fruit. Freshly squeezed oranges were available, if wanted. The coffee was good – with hot milk, as requested.||||Malcolm was a former amateur jockey, so if you are a horse enthusiast he can help you with any questions, even arrange tours, if interested.||||Good location, great welcome and comfortable, just wished we had had a larger room!

Our room was small and basic. Although it was clean, it didn't feel it. The carpet was quite stained and so were the glasses by the bed. The bed also felt cheap and uncomfortable. The French breakfast was ok, but £5 extra for an English breakfast is a bit cheeky for an £80 a night B&B. On a positive, the owners were extremely friendly and welcoming.

I stayed at the Queensberry for a couple of weeks while I was working locally. The owners are very friendly and helpful giving the b&b a relaxed feel. Importantly I had a lot of freedom with use of the microwave and fridge and with wifi included. I would definitely recommend the Queensberry and would stay here again if i am in the area.

A very friendly welcome. A nice room with even our own small kitchen. Nice and quiet location. French breakfast excellent and could not wish for more. Very happy to have stayed there, unfortunately just for one night.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Queensbury B&B and the room was clean and well presented.||We had everything we needed and the Owners are very nice helpful and charming.||The breakfast was really nice and I prefered it to the Egg and Bacon option usually offered.||The position is very central and it is very convenient for visiting the local attractions.
