Oh my goodness what a wonderful hidden gem of a spa! For a thursday afternoon it was busy but there was always somewhere to be that wasn't crowded, the little outdoor saunas and hot tubs were lovely but could have been a bit warmer. Treatments were amazing! And oh my goodness the meal at the vineyard after was just incredible. Wonderful way to spend an afternoon

Just got home after a lovely stay at Quob spa hotel. From arrival to leaving, Alex looked after us with nothing short of spectacular customer service and care. Welcome drink was perfect, room (butterfly) was stunning and use of the spa behind the hotel was perfect. Following a good night's sleep, a delicious breakfast to send us on our way. Very highly recommended 👌

My partner and I stayed at the Quob Park The Old House Hotel and Spa for one night in November 2024. We actually got engaged at the vineyard estate. It was magical. The staff could not have been more attentive and accommodating. We had wine tasting which was stunning. We want to mention Megan who was so helpful and kind. She helped my partner to set up this as a surprise for me, Including decorating the room, as well as a balloon and two bunches of roses. ||We had dinner at the estate to celebrate our engagement which they offered a complimentary lift from the hotel and back which is only a short distance. Whilst here for dinner the owner offered us a bottle of 2003 desert wine to congratulate us. This was so personal and kind which we were very grateful. ||We also booked a massage for both of us for the following day which was very relaxing. The spa itself is amazing. So much for you to do, jacuzzi, massage chairs, water bed, plunge pool which was lovely and not very busy. We had access to this on both days included in the price. ||We will definitely be returning to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you so much for making our day and evening so special.

We stayed in the Butterfly Room, and while there were some positive aspects, unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing.

On the positive side, the breakfast was good with a nice variety of options, and the bed was very comfortable, which ensured a decent night's sleep. The hotel also provided robes and slippers, which was a thoughtful touch. Additionally, the staff was friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated.

However, there were several issues that overshadowed these positives. When we arrived, the room was cold. The heating is provided through an air conditioning unit that does not work properly. Even after setting it to a comfortable temperature, it kept overheating the room. We had to wake up three times during the night to turn it on and off manually.

The bathroom door couldn’t be closed as it was deformed, and in some areas, the floor felt unstable and seemed to sink slightly, which was unsettling.

When we checked in, the receptionist saw my husband parking the car in front of the hotel entrance but failed to inform us that the hotel’s parking lot is located on the other side of the building. The next morning, we were unpleasantly surprised with a parking fine.

The spa was also disappointing. In one sauna, the temperature was only 20°C, and in the other, cold air was blowing through gaps. On top of that, the spa’s operating hours (9 AM to 5 PM) were very inconvenient, as most guests are usually out exploring during the day.

While there were some highlights to our stay, these issues significantly affected our experience. I hope the hotel will address these problems to improve the experience for future guests.

What a fantastic little find this was. A beautifully appointed, quirky (in a great way) boutique hotel right in the heart of Wickham. We stayed for one night in The Butterfly Suite on the top floor and I don’t think there was a single thing of note we didn’t love about it. In fact, one of the comfiest beds I think I’ve ever slept in with the softest, silkiest bed linen. It all felt incredibly luxurious despite the wonky floors of a historic building and relatively low ceiling of an attic room.

The breakfast which was included in the price was outstanding, my husband had the full English and I had the french toast waffle with maple syrup and bacon, it was all delicious. The staff could not have been more attentive.

Finally, the Spa - wow! It is quaint and a little eclectic but exceptional. On the day we arrived I enjoyed the full body salt & oil scrub treatment followed by a wonderful back & scalp massage and fascial. The morning we were due to leave we both went to the spa for a couple of hours, everything about it is exceptional, the decor and materials throughout, it’s warm and welcoming like a giant hug. The well thought out saunas with cold plunge barrels outside, the large jacuzzi at the back is fantastic as are the massage chairs and magnetic water bed. We both floated back to the car afterwards.

We will definitely be back. Please share where the bed linen comes from?! Thank you so much!

This place is fabulous! Went here for a spa morning which included a 2 course lunch. The spa was great, especially as it was quiet (we were the only people using it). There’s 3 hot tubs (one wasn’t open when we went), saunas, a water bed and massage chairs. We also had 1 hour of treatments. I had Valerie for a facial and a back massage, both were excellent and really enjoyable. My partner had a full body massage which was also excellent. The only issue I had with the spa was that the female changing rooms were in a separate cabin and it was really cold in there, which made getting changed and coming out of the shower quite unpleasant. Other than that it was a nice room and the showers and toiletries were high quality. I would definitely use the spa again!

The lunch was also great, we both had pork to start and then roast beef (roasts were available as it was Sunday). The food was really delicious especially the beef. Staff were friendly too and the food came quickly. There’s a button on each table to get attention. We only used this at the end to get the bill, tried a couple of times and nobody came so we had to go and find someone in the end. Drinks are pricey, I asked if I could have a Bellini (they said they have cocktails but they were not on the menu). When I got the bill I saw it was 19 quid! It tasted nice but nothing special.

I can’t comment on the hotel rooms as we didn’t stay, just used the spa and had lunch. Overall I would really recommend this place for spa and food.

One thing to be aware of is the parking, we had no issue as it was Sunday but Monday to Saturday parking outside the hotel is restricted to 3 hours (which isn’t long enough for spa and lunch).

I have had the most wonderful experience at the hotel. Staff are so friendly. My room was so luxurious and I can’t say enough about the spa. It was my 50th birthday treat. I had a lovely facial and massage and enjoyed the spa. It was a sunny day so I got to enjoy the sun in the secret garden and the massage chairs are out of this world. Thank you for making my stay so incredibly special. I’ll definitely be back. Such a lot of thought has gone in to this and it shows.

The reception staff 'Alex' and another lady were so welcoming and couldn't be more warm and professional.
We were offered a welcome drink, own vinyard sparkling white wine, ( a far better fizz than traditional Chapagnes).
Our room, suite was olde-worldy en-suite with huge comfy bed and the largest tv l've ever seen, (ideal to watch the 6 Nations).
We made full use of the Spa facilities and Mr & Mrs massage which was most relaxing.
On the evening we were transported to the Quob Park vinyard and resturant. A fabulous meal with a selection of their house wines. We will return in the warmer months for a wine tour. Transported back to Hotel post meal.
Breakfast was exceptional.
Thank you ALL.
