Picturesque setting and hotel has a lovely external appearance. Internally the hotel had a 70/80’s feel to it. Reception was very busy and so took a while to check in with no issues. Room was very tired but comfortable. Bed was fine and bathroom clean. Shower was over the bath with an awkward screen that made getting in and out a bit dodgy. Shower head was either a dribble or single high pressure jet and water temp a hit and miss affair. Food in the restaurant was very good with a reasonable selection. Lots of loud talking and door banging around 3am for an hour or so but this is hardly the hotels fault as some people have zero consideration for others. All in all not a bad stay ( apart from noise) and reasonable value.

Attend the hotel for training. Hotel is nice enough and staff were all friendly. Good amount of parking and nice grounds.
We had a pre selected meal for our evening meal as well as an Indian buffet, food was okay but nothing to rave about. The breakfast what they did provide was nice, thick bacon and nice sausages. I did feel the breakfast selection could be better on the continental selection, would benefit from having more pastries not just croissants and some more fresh fruit.
The room I had was a good size and had the stuff you need but the bed was very soft. My room also had glass doors with not much frosting on them, it was okay as I was by myself but this would be weird if I was staying with someone else. Also that was a lot of marks/strains on the carpet.

Staff are great. The rooms clean. Location is quiet with lots of parking.

The negatives. Firstly the mattress was terrible, very soft, the double bed was two singles pushed together. So an uncomfortable night.

The main reason for only the two stars was the design of the bathroom. Glass walls for a toilet! What were they thinking! There is limited frosting on the glass walls, but forget any privacy when doing your business.

Whoever designed this place was clearly kinky!

I’m sure this was a lovely hotel circa 1990, but it appears not to have been updated since really. Rooms were less than basic, stains on the carpet, bed was quite nice but pillows were naff. We only used the hotel to attend a nearby wedding so it didn’t matter that much to us in the bigger scheme.

We arrived at 2.35 and tried to check in but was told check in was 3 o clock. Obviously this is correct but really!!!! So we had to sit in the bar for 25 minutes and just wait. C

We had breakfast the following morning which was really nice as was the breakfast staff.

Wouldn’t book again unless I had to

Lovely dog friendly room with super king sized bed , decent shower , french windows to access the grounds and parking nearby . Very friendly and helpful staff. ||We’ve stayed here quite a few times over the years and always found it to be reliable and welcoming , good value for money

We arrived for our reservation just after twenty to three- the receptionist looked at the clock almost dismissively and said check in is from three…. |I fully completely appreciate that check in is from three and we were slightly early- but the room was ready and the hotel appeared quiet so I am pretty sure it wouldn’t have caused them an issue to let us check in slightly early…. But the rules are the rules and I get that.||Anyway we sat and waited in the ‘lounge’ for fifteen minutes- this area is the bar- which wasn’t the most inviting area but it was clean and tidy.||We then checked in- the room was incredibly tired. Large stains on the carpet in the room, marked and scuffs on the wall and other furniture and incredibly thin pillows.||The bed was lovely- really large and comfortable and the bedding was all clean.|Unfortunately the room also got incredibly hot in the night despite us turning the radiator down and opening the windows- leading to poor sleep for both of us.||Fortunately for us we were literally just using it as a bed for the night as we were at a weddings but the whole place was tired and outdated- needs a refresh.||The breakfast was really nice and the staff serving breakfast very friendly and professional throughout. I also thought this was relatively good value for the money and quality.||All in all I was disappointed. Reception staff seemed sort of indifferent and not amazingly helpful or approachable and the room was tired with unacceptable stains.

A bit of a mix. Nice lobby and good reception staff. Room big and clean but furniture had water stains. Good bathroom. But no glasses or water in room although ok leaving noticed bottles of water on housekeeping trolleys. All in all it was fine but felt quite sterile and lacked attention to detail

Stayed there to do a course. The first night the evening meal the seating arrangements were a bit cramped.
The food overall was enjoyable.
The room was comfortable.
The only drawback was the coffee didn't get refilled enough.
