I have spent a few nights here, and on the whole, I was pleased. Both rooms I have stayed in were large and clean, with comfortable beds. The parking was adequate, and the service was friendly. Unfortunately the showers, which are a fixed head on the wall, over the bathtub, were awful. The water pressure was extremely weak and the temperature was incredibly difficult to regulate - two pretty vital things if you want to take a shower! Also, because the head of the shower is fixed to the wall, you have no control on the direction of water or its point of origin. It is for this reason that I have only left 4 stars.

The location is good if you need the airport, as it is approximately a 10min drive away. It is also a short walk from Crawley town centre, so there are lots of shops available in the day time. However, at night it feels a little like a ghost town, with some places closing surprisingly early.

The biggest plus, for me, is that they have some rooms that still allow smoking. Although there is no law against this, most hotels seem to have completely done away with smoking in their roooms, and I shouldn't be surprised if it has reduced their profits. It doesn't make sense not to keep a few specific rooms that can be booked by smokers. Happily the Ramada Inn does exactly that!

Family of four.
Booked a room for overnight, for early flight next day.
Having read many negative reviews about this hotel, we were dreading it, being the start of our holiday. However, staff were perfectly fine, giving info on hotel, and local area. Room was perfect for the few hours we were there. Plenty of food places nearby. Easy place to be, easy parking, beds comfortable, room clean, and, because we were leaving really early, checkout was no problem. We were told, just leave whenever you want, leave the key in the room.
It worked perfectly, and I would happily go back to this place.

Ok I’ll start with the good points. Bang in the middle of town with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. WiFi was excellent. I’m afraid that’s it. The rest of it is abysmal. Car park is a pot holed wasteland at the rear. The hotel is terribly dated and doesn’t look as though it’s had a lock of paint since the 60’s. My room was in the Sussex wing. As soon as I entered the smell of cannabis was over whelming. The Sussex wing could be renamed the Cannabis wing. The room was awful. Dark, the lights barely gave off any light. The carpet was filthy. Hairs in the bath. Clearly hadn’t been cleaned. As it was the hottest September day for a long time I wanted the room to be cool but no chance of that as the towel rail was red hot and couldn’t be turned off. Don’t think you’ll get a good nights sleep either. Noise throughout the night from people around the back of the hotel along with other guests in the Cannabis wing slamming doors, shouting etc. Would I stay again?Never. Can’t believe Ramada put their name to this place!

I booked this hotel through Expedia and only paid £26 for the night. After reading reviews wasn’t to sure as to what to expect. The free car park at the rear of the property is easy to find and plenty of spaces . Check in was easy. Now don’t expect posh and lavish rooms for the prices this is a budget hotel and some of the areas look tired. Our room was in the susses wing and found it relatively quite easy compared to the couple who checked in before us. Our room was huge with a really comfortable bed, plenty of towels etc. I booked this hotel for a bargain night away and we got just that. The only concerning thing was the group of people smoking weed by the door entrance when we arrived back after our night out not sure on if these people were staying in the hotel or not but you could smell marijuana all the way through the Sussex wing. I give this property a five star as it ticked all the boxes for what we needed.

Good bits:
Friendly nonsense staff. Rooms were alright - big, clean with a nice desk. The main areas of the hotel had "character". The view is hit or miss depending on the room. Pretty close to the airport. The area seems like it'd be nice in the summer.

Not so good bits:
You can hear a bit of noise from the street, other rooms and hallways. The shower/tub was small and slippery with a low flow showerhead. I know it's not uncommon here but the sink has those useless taps where there's a separate hot & cold.

Conclusion:
All and all it's a fine place to stay a night or two if you're waiting for a flight. Maybe for a vacation in the summer.

Decent enough to stay for the night. Good price for a Saturday night. It looks very different at the car park at the beach compared to the Tudor frontage the other side. Made it quite tricky to locate the car park off the roundabout.||Bed, room size, services all perfectly adequate. Could have done with air con, as the fan didn't cut it.

We found it disappointing that the hotel front, which is lovely,is not actually where we stayed. We were led through the Tudor frontage to a rather sad looking apartment block which really needs updating. The room was fairly comfortable but the cleaning standard was not good. The walls in the room were marked with something which resembled shaving foam and the view was of a carpark which was very littered. We could not find where to get breakfast, even though it was advertised. It seemed that the kitchen was shut and we could find no one to ask. When we checked in I must say the receptionist was very nice and helpful.

The only thing this hotel has going for it is it’s ideal location for Gatwick Airport. That is all. I was put in the “Sussex wing” entrance through a tired exterior that reminded me of tired local authority property from the 70’s. Holes in the exterior cladding. My room a family triple was on the ground floor over looking a delightful (not) hand car wash. I should have gone on my gut instinct when I walked into reception and saw the tired decor. My room wasn’t clean, there was what appeared fo be the remnants of a pizza topping on the floor. The decor dated and drab. The white bed linen was stained. Clearly not a fresh stain, but shouldn’t have been re used if it didn’t fully wash out of the fabric. At time of writing this review at 0430am, there are still people walking around banging doors. Lots of work vans in the car park, if you can call the scrub land at the rear a car park. So clearly a cheap option for company’s to put up their workers for the night. I suppose it’s just a place to get your head down for a quick transfer to Gatwick. That is all. As has been mentioned before, the location of the hotel is town centre, with restaurants and bars. However, I wouldn’t venture out passed day light hours. Didn’t feel safe coming back to this hotel in the dark with my children.
