Just had Sunday lunch here today. Our second visit and will certainly revisit. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully cooked. Good selection of veg. Reasonably priced st 16.95 for one course. Really nice surroundings, slightly old fashioned in a good way. Sit under wisteria clad arch or by the pool. Enjoy coziness on comfy armchairs and sofas by the fire. Highly recommend. Sammy was very efficient and had good rapport with the guests.

Went for a weekend getaway. Asked for a room on the ground floor as I have issues with stairs, they were very helpful and we were in one of the stable block rooms. The room was lovely, albeit a little compact. The staff were excellent and helpful at all times, and due to my walking issues, they carried my bag to my room. We had dinner on two days of our stay and breakfast, including a taster menu and a Sunday lunch. The food was excellent and of high quality. Staff were attentive and very helpful. I would highly recommend this as somewhere for a celebration, as the atmosphere so relaxed. I can imagine this is a lovely place in the summer with the pool and sitting in the gardens to enjoy a drink and watch world go by. Also, I would also imagine as a wonderful venue for a wedding. I would highly recommend and we will be back. ๐Ÿ™‚

We went for a coffee at lunchtime and were pleasantly surprised at the changes since our last visit (not been for a long while but have been to many weddings and parties here over the years). The decor has been sympathetically updated by a few decades, and the layout of the bar and lounge area we thought was much more welcoming. The service was also an upgraded experience. We just had Coffees in a lunch hour, but will definitely be going back again and maybe for a meal too. Very happy to recommend so far ๐Ÿ˜Š

Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay. This was a return visit as we so enjoyed our stay in Feb we came home and booked again. |This time our room was in the main house we had the Magna Carter room which was compact but comfortable provided all our needs although I could have done with a step ladder for the bed lol. |Couldn't fault the food in restaurant and great having breakfast freshly cooked.|Staff were all lovely and a special thanks to Sammy bar and restaurant manager.|Not forgetting Cheddar the resident cockerel.|We will be returning.

We celebrated my husbands 80th birthday Easter weekend at this venue. Has beautiful grounds where you can sit and enjoy an aperitif . It was a very memorable experience. I have nothing but praise for all the staff I encountered in organising this meal. Special thanks to Daisy who kept us informed. In the evening Sammy and Louie couldnโ€™t do enough to make all the guests happy. The kitchen who accommodated for special needs. We have, over the years, had celebrations here and this was the best.|Many many thanks.

2 night stay for a wedding. ||I found checking in easy but felt like a scene from faulty towers when the bar man asked us to go the 2 yards round the corner to reception and he popped up again to check us in! It brought a smile to the start of our stay. ||The room was ideal for us, and very clean. I have a massive dust allergy and often struggle at hotels but this room was genuinely really well vacuumed throughout. ||Evening meal in garden room, food was cooked well. The atmosphere was lacking because it was early and quiet but food was good. Service was also good.||Breakfast was a nice cooked meal, the continental additional selection was minimalist but with the current cost of food itโ€™s hardly surprising they want little wastage. But the cooked meals were good and generous with both vegetarian and vegan hearty cooked breakfasts available. The morning after the wedding we had a long table for all of us and serving so many at once must have been a challenge but they managed it very well.||The wedding in the pavilion was beautiful, well catered and flowed so well. The staff clearly worked really hard and it was fantastic. I would stay here again as an independent traveller and as a guest Iโ€™d also recommend their wedding package.||Worth mentioning that thereโ€™s a really fast car charging station minutes away from the hotel at the nearby garage and the hotel has excellent car parking facilities. Itโ€™s set in nice grounds. We travelled with a baby and toddler in our party and the hotel provided high chairs and travel cots.

We have frequented this beautiful place many times over the years and heard that Ravenwood Hall had been taken over, to be honest we are so glad it has been! Change is always worrying but this change is definitely for the better! Iโ€™m so glad Sammy is still there as he ALWAYS makes our visits that little more special! He is worth his weight in gold! He always puts in that little extra effort to make sure you are happy and have everything you need! He really does make a Ravenwood Hall evening enjoyable! Today we enjoyed the best roast dinner we have ever had here and the beef was just delicious! Everything cooked to perfection! The new decor is just perfect, not too modern but light and classy but still has that warm welcoming homely feel! And the ladies room looks stunning and elegant! Great to see a new steak night every Thursday too with a bottle of red included! Canโ€™t wait for future visits! Great value for money also!

We stayed at Ravenwood Hall Hotel for 2 nights whilst the men in our party took part in the National Vintage Tractor Run at Rougham, Suffolk. The hotel was quiet, peaceful and extremely friendly. Sammy behind the bar was our hero. Nothing was too much trouble and he looked after us throughout our stay. The breakfasts were fabulous and the lounge lovely and relaxing for reading papers and people watching. A wonderful stay
