Got to the lodge and couldn't be bothered to cook so mosied on up to the tearooms, we had a wrap each (my fiance had the steak wrap with no grisley bits or fat and it melted in the mouth and I had the Coronation chicken wrap) both came with chips.

Yummy and scrummy are 2 words that I think of.

Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for and I think its great value for money

The service was attentative but not in your face, nothing was too much trouble.

Highly recommended

Leaving a second review here too as we decided to grab a spot of lunch, we both opted for a gigantic Club sandwich which came with some more of those yummy double cooked chips and a salad with a delicious dressing on it.

We sat outside in the sunshine, and this is the only little niggle I have, the rattan effect tables for 2 have a bit of a spring to them which meant both our glasses (and bottles) wobbled a little each time one of us picked up or put down our glass

We did have a bit of a wait, but it looked super busy both inside and out so it was expected and we were happy to wait...there was a couple there at the same time that didn't want to wait and cancelled their food order...maybe advising customers of possible wait times when busy may stop the less patient people doing that.

As I said we were in the sun, drinks and food, there was that much we asked for a doggy bag and ended up eating the other half of our sandwich with our own salad and slaw back at the lodge, instead of the BBQ we had planned on, as we were so stuffed.

The service was great, the fella who took our order and mostly dealt with us put a smile on your face straight away with how happy he was and the lady who was also dealt with us was great. They were both very friendly and attentive without going overboard.

Highly recommended

Having just spent a weekend staying in the lodges we twice had breakfast at the tearooms.

We went the 2nd time because the 1st time was so good.

The rooms and outside are all decorated lovely and it's in a peaceful area so you can really enjoy. All the staff were very friendly and the right level of attentive.

The food is amazing and you can tell it's good quality ingredients that have been prepared well.

We also didn't feel like the price was too high and there was the bonus that we got 10% off for staying in the lodges. There was also plenty on the menu for the kids as well as adults. Would definitely recommend yo anyone and if we are this way again we will definitely come again.

Raywell Hall Tea Rooms and Bistro is a hidden gem within East Yorkshire. Surrounded by wonderful countryside and as per the name, it is perfectly nestled within the grounds of Raywell Hall.

Our first and unplanned visit to the tea rooms proved to be a great experience. The tea rooms is a small but perfectly sized venue that also offers an outdoor seating area.

From entering the building we were greeted by the superb staff and taken to our table and once inside, the area has a great cosy vibe going on.

The tea rooms offer a very good menu selection from coffee, cake, light bites and full meals to dine upon. There are even several late night openings and take away options for people should they desire.

Coffee and sandwiches was our choice and the food was very generously portioned and the quality was equally superb. Despite my sandwich being more than sufficient I couldn’t resist the carrot cake on display which was absolutely phenomenal.

All in all, Raywell Hall Tea Room and Bistro proved to be an excellent experience and one I would be very happy to recommend.

Should you be a local to the area, a tourist visiting or a walker using the nearby routes then schedule a visit here as you won’t be disappointed.

And as for the food well this was outstanding in every way every dish that came out of that kitchen looked fantastic and I could have eaten everything on there menu as it all sounded and looked amazing all the sweet things wow the size was amazing and well worth the money. The tea rooms are situated in a peaceful wooded area close to Raywell Hall. It is hard to believe that the busy Hull conurbation is less than two miles away. You can work up an appetite by taking a walk along the public footpaths in the adjoining Nut Wood. The café/restaurant also has an outside covered seating area and patio, which is ideal for dog owners.
On each occasion that I have visited, I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The food served is tasty and plentiful.
