It was OK. Served a purpose, if the room appeared on "Four in a bed" then the amount of dust on the guest's finger would have warranted a free stay. But in reality it's not a major problem. I wouldn't rave about it, but if you need a bed for the night it does the job.

Please, please, please stay away from RBS Hotel! I am a teacher who just moved to Rochester from the USA, and I rented a room for a week while getting my housing sorted. I arrived at 10:30 PM, only for the owner to tell me it was too late to check in, despite booking online via Booking.com. He hadn’t done the registration, so he YELLED at me and kicked me out, locking the door behind him. I had to call Booking.com, and after a 45-minute wait on hold, they got him to open the door at 12:08 AM. He continued yelling for "disturbing his sleep." Keep in mind, I had to be at work by 8 AM.||||Once inside the room, I found no toilet paper, soap, or toothpaste. The toilet seat was in terrible condition. The next morning, at 6:45 AM, I rang the bell to ask for an iron, and the owner angrily shouted at me not to bother him before 10 AM, saying it was “his policy.” He then demanded I vacate the hotel after I had already paid for the week! I wish I were kidding.||||Please avoid this place like the plague. If you need a place to stay, you’d be better off sleeping on the streets. He literally kicked me out before I could finish packing my bags and demanded the keys before I even left. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

I recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a negative experience. I asked for a bottle of water in the morning, and the hotel manager shouted at me and refused to give me water. This incident greatly affected my stay and left me feeling disappointed with the level of customer service provided. It's important for hotels to treat guests with respect and kindness, especially over simple requests. I hope this feedback helps improve the hotel's service for future guests.

We stayed there for two days. Mr Basu is a really nice man and host. He is very kind and supportive. The rooms are really great, clean and comfortable. The service was good. The location is close to station.

Although was allowed in room earlier that stated it wasn’t a great welcome, arrived in room there was a fusty smell . Then noticed the bathroom had a lot of mould on the ceilings and walls and the pillows were stained with yellow stains,I had luckily brought a blanket to cover them with, we were reluctant to complain as read other reviews about the owners reaction, , I would never recommend this place to anyone

Although good location for Rochester.the welcome could have been better,the room was ok at first glance the bathroom had mould on the ceiling and walls ,the pillows had awful yellow stains on them,so we used blankets for pillows, out of the window was an old shopping trolly and door etc , we then looked at reviews and dare not complain as was how rude the owner was, for £65 didn’t expect luxury but would expect a bathroom without mould we would expect a bit more at least clean the mould , would never recommend

Very nice establishment but breakfast was continental provided in your room in a basket the night before. I did state Gluten free breakfast but nothing for me other than fruit. Not very many parking spaces. First come first served basis. Pleasant gentleman on desk who did as much as he good to make sure you were happy with room. 🙂

Extremely rude Indian man. I rang up to ask about parking and instead of helping guide us to the hotel, he was very impolite over the phone. When we arrived at the hotel. He made us feel very uncomfortable and rude again. We left and didn’t even want to stay because of how uncomfortable the Indian man made us feel!
