Been going for years, not sure but might be new owners.
Nice size cafe with inside and outside seating, next to the Chemler river in middle of town.
Professional welcome, not 100% friendly. Said good bye and waved as we left but no one looked up.
Even though our table had been cleared had to ask to be wiped, which happened straight away.
Had granary brown bread tuna sandwich, which was OK, it was the choice of bread not my preferred but no salad or chrisp.
Well return again.

A lovely little local coffee shop. Have been coming here for many years and continues to serve wonderful food and provide a nice view of the town centre 😍. The homeless man on the accordion was a nice touch for the atmosphere.

Everything was very nice, good quality sausages, french stick and coffee. Even come with Heinz ketchup and proper butter.

Recess is a charming independent cafe over looking the river Can. Seating outside in the summer too. It's very popular at lunchtimes so we arrive promptly and manage to get a table. Fresh toasted paninis always go down well. Prices seem slightly cheaper than nearby competitors.

Always come here when shopping locally as the staff are all so polite, the food is superb and the service is amazing! Always spacious and can fit in with a pram, it’s just a nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy- prices are very reasonable and great baby changing facilities also 👍🏼
