What a lovely place! The room was clean, although a little tired. The bed was comfy, lovely big towels in the bathroom toiletries too and kettle and everything to make a brew. Reception staff friendly and helpful, Paul, this morning and lovely lady yesterday evening.. didn’t get her name. Ate at the restaurant over the carpark which was very nice. All in all a great stay… can highly recommend

Lovely little gem with an equally lovely restaurant right next to it. If you want the Ritz, go there. If you want a lovely relaxed clean basic place to stay, its for you

Located right on the A1 southbound, this little older motel is easy to find and has a good sized car park. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights as a base to recce the area. All the staff we encountered were friendly, the motel is older, but clean. Our rooms were spacious, the sheets and towels were clean and the water was hot. Hand soap and shampoo are in dispensers in the bathroom. They also provide coffee and tea making bits and bobs and free WiFi with no sign in needed. One of our beds was a bit worse for wear, but as the room was at the back and really quiet we weren't too bothered. Breakfast is provided, plenty of bread, lots of toasters, cereals and juice. This is set up handily in the reception area. Trays are available if you want to take it back to your room. The restaurant in the car park, Cotey's is excellent for breakfast and dinner. Not cheap, but fresh home cooked food. Overall it suited us for what we needed on this trip.

As expected, basic could do with a refurb but you get what you pay for. Perfectly fine to get some sleep for a few nights. Receptionist very helpful. Free breakfast is basic, toast jam cereal etc not full cooked/English. There is a cafe just outside though that does breakfasts.

For the money it can not be beaten.. they will match any price you find online and have restaurant and bar with reasonable prices and good food

Very convenient on the A1, room basic and a bit battered and tired but has everything you need and was very clean. Good soundproofing from traffic noises too. A good choice at breakfast, you won't go hungry.

Hotel and staff are pleasent. The only reason for 2 star is the bed absolutely stunk stale like that council house unclean stale smell that was on me still after 4 showers. Room 18
