The reception was friendly. Checked in was speedy however they need to be cautious when we already paid online and not again at the front desk. Room was not that that clean but the bed and pillow was comfortable. Furniture look aged and the bathroom need upgrading. But overall it was a good stay for a night.

Pleasant surprise to what l expected place was quite clean especially the bathroom. Was a bit nervous parking on the grounds but was the safest. Staff, she was very, very helpful and friendly catered for my mom’s needs. Really enjoyed the night out room was quiet. Only thing was we couldn’t find the place but l think that was just us. Overall good.😊

Had a lovely stay here, park in the carpark on the other side of Saracens head and put your number into the hotels computer.
The staff are wonderful, very friendly and pleasant. They were very welcoming with our dog too.
The whole hotel from what I seen was very clean and had a nice smell about it.
The room was a good size and so were the beds. Hairdryer, kettle, towels, hand/shower soap and tea/coffee included.
The room was very warm until 6am and then when I turned the heater on it didn't take long to warm up.
We were on the ground floor next to the car park and it was very quiet.
There is a massive park 2 minute walk away also plus loads of shops.
I paid for late check out so I took advantage of having a good shop.

**the only bad point that let this down was the bathroom, had mould in the shower area and no one bothered to try and clean it, I know they have a lot of customers but it needs regrouting or a good clean.
Where the extractor fan is there was what I thought was mould on the wall but it could of been dust. Where the shower glass fit to the wall there is a gap where there is loads of cobwebs/dust... I thought there were hairs in the sink but it was hair line cracks in the sink. The shower head dirty, an old toothbrush and bleach would of solved all these issues..
The hotel needs to use toilet rolls and not the little individual wafer thin sheets you give to use..
Besides this we had a great stay and would highly recommend it to others.

Room was very clean and tidy. Staff were so helpful and very polite. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Didn't hear any noise from other people. Nice relaxing place to stay with parking and a pub next door, which you don't hear any noise from. Was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Bed was comfortable and bedding felt lovely to sleep on. Would happily stay again. Locals were friendly and chatty.

Currently sitting in bed now listening to a bass heavy playlist playing from an unknown location (woke up at 4am and it’s now 6:20am). Showed man on reception who apologised and investigated. Was told it was coming from outside. Whole day of work ahead and 4hr drive home. Woohoo! No refund or partial refund offered, not even a room change. Awful, avoid.

Be careful! Day before our stay they cancelled on us, booked months in advance, and the only other option was to pay much more for an alternative hotel. No reason for cancellation and not alternative given other than they over booked!! When you have a flight to catch the next day, this is really not acceptable and has left us in the S***!

Really good. Staff very friendly, location great for the shops and dining out. Only marked it down due to the mouldy bathroom

Basic done competently and comfortably.

Attending weekend conference 12-15th September from London by train to New Street (easy 15 minutes cab journey but returned on bus 5, 30 minutes). Room 209 overlooking car park. 30 minutes walk from venue/ 10 minutes by bus. Preferable to a previous closer Airbnb.

They've remedied complaints raised here: cups are now ceramic. There are notices to respect noise levels between 10pm to 7am with threat of possible expulsion. Iron and board available from reception. I echo everyone's good experience with attentive staff. The main light wasn't working on my Friday return and fixed by Saturday return. Pleasant park next to hotel.

I got croissants and bananas for breakfast from local Aldi keeping in room and evening extras from neighbouring restaurants. I found the meat at Cleopatra's Kitchen a little too tough for my liking. Reception staff told me I could get cutlery and crockery from the pub.

Bathroom super clean including unstained grouting. Only toilet paper, clean towels and shower gel that didn't dry out my skin and liquid soap. No toothpaste but I think people bring their own toiletries these days.

No paper and pen or normal tissues but one assumes these may be available from reception and cheaply available from local supermarkets.

In my room, only right side of bed had a plug point not left but there are others in the room.

Heater very competent too. Shower bracing. Comfy bed. Can't ask for more.

I booked months in advance directly for savings with nonrefundable payment.

Will likely stay again for next time.
