Such a lovely place! This is a traditional Manor with plenty of character. So if you are looking for a modern, minimalistic hotel, don't go there. Despite the fact that the place is showing its age and could do with some improvements, it is still very beautiful. Walking through the building feels like walking in an open gallery. The staff are very nice and polite. There is also an amazing gym and a beautiful bar.

Just had a weekend break here, and added some spa treatments. I can't praise this place enough. The welcome from reception was excellent. I wish I'd took her name she was so welcoming and helpful. Room was lovely, a bit hot but turned radiator off and soon cooled down. Restaurant was also good, quick and staff really pleasant. Breakfast also gorgeous. Pool was just the right temperature and spa treatments excellent. I've had quite a few spa breaks in the north east none a patch on redworth. Well done all. I'll be back

Room was very tired and absolutely not 4*. Furniture was chipped, tatty and mismatched. Photo frame on the wall with picture slipped halfway down. Bathroom was in desperate need of refurbishment. Mismatched bath tiles where some had been replaced, missing grouting and shower head/hose were damaged so sprayed in all directions. Bar area felt like a social club without the atmosphere. Ordered a cocktail which we all agreed was undrinkable. Tasted like chemicals. Maybe glass cleaner hadn’t rinsed properly? Meal was nice but nothing special and we were stuck on a table out in a corner with tatty chipped walls. Visited 10yrs ago and was fantastic but standards seem to have plummeted and we were sadly very disappointed.

A beautiful building in need of some updating. Great amenities (fitness and pool area). The food was a bit disappointing but the bar was mostly good except when wedding guests invade between ceremony and reception. Abbie at reception was fabulous (friendly, helpful, and lovely) as was the pool bar person in the morning who made fantastic coffee. Would recommend but eat elsewhere (The County or Spotted Dog).

Booked here for 1 night.
The hotel isn’t near any amenities so make sure you bring what you need.
There is a small drive up through the grounds to the carpark. The hotel looks lovely from the outside. There is seating and pitch and put outside. I think in the summer months it would be lovely to sit outside.
On arrival the staff were cheery and welcoming. We were checked in quickly and our room was ready. We did pay extra £30 to check in at 12 noon rather than 3pm.
Our room was in the newer spa part of the hotel.
The room was a good size and had what you needed. Robes and slippers were available in your room. Tea/coffee making facilities, iron, trouser press, hair dryer. Our kettle didn’t work but was quickly replaced.
The spa facilities were clean and well maintained.
However the seating around the pool was of a material that once you got it wet it stayed wet a bit like a cloth sofa. So this was a little annoying that when we wanted to sit and relax it was on someone else’s wet seat. So different seating would be better.
Spa treatments are available but we didn’t book any on this visit.
A well equipped gym was available too.
We booked for evening meal. Not a huge menu but what was on offer was delicious.
Again the staff were friendly.
We sat in the cocktail lounge after our meal this was a nice area, but would be much nicer if music were playing or someone playing a piano.
All this said we had a lovely nights stay and would happily stay here again.

Fantastic hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast, lovely room - we had the deluxe spa bath room which was great to have after a long day. The spa was great although I'd love a cold plunge to compliment the sauna. Had dinner in the hotel which was a little overpriced but still an enjoyable meal. Would definitely return again if in the area.

We had a lovely time here as a family this weekend, celebrating my mam's 70th. Our spa room was brilliant, and we used the pool, spa and it was great. We also had a fantastic meal, seated in a semi-private area upstairs from the bar, which was perfect for six adults and a six year old child. The bar staff, especially Amy, were absolutely superb, and a total credit to Redworth Hall.

Took out a membership for the Retreat Spa this year and I thoroughly enjoy the experience every time I visit. The staff are welcoming and helpful and the pool renovation is excellent. Emma does a fabulous massage. Tara has served me several times in the bar area, always with a smile, and always with an efficient, professional manner.
