My daughter and I have just returned home from spending two nights at the Regency House and it was absolutely perfect! Our room (no.10) was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and had a little balcony overlooking the Christmas markets. It is in an excellent location being only a 5/10 minute walk from the train station and then the same again to the heart of Cambridge (museums, market square, colleges etc). We will definitely be returning.

Whilt I enjoyed the location of this hotel and the bedroom was clean and tidy. There was definitely a few flaws that they could work on. The television in my bedroom didnā€™t work and the shower on the 3rd floor either went from boiling hot or freezing cold, but wouldnā€™t stick at a good temperature. ||More significantly however, I never received the check-in code. This meant I was sat outside on the steps trying to get wifi to check my emails for it on my work laptop (and trying to contact them via phone et cetera) for a good half an hour before fellow guest let me into the building. Really frustrating as I came to this hotel after long day and this was the last thing i wanted to be doing (Especially since itā€™s right next door to a very popular bar, so it was being stared at by young students the whole time).||Just a few small things that couldā€™ve been improved the stay dramatically.

Basic rooms in a convenient location in Cambridge City Centre. Room six is to be avoided. There was a loud stomping sound coming from the bay window area throughout the night. This made for a difficult nightā€™s sleep. The sink in the room was also blocked and water did not drain properly. The TV remote also didnā€™t work.

A one night stay was bearable but for any longer Iā€™d be looking elsewhere.

Disappointing and overpriced!
We book 3 rooms and we were spread over 3 floors. We couldnā€™t get in as I was told email wasnā€™t sent with a code because we booked it through another site. Took good 20 min to get a code. There was a fair going on in the park opposite so we had to wait 40 minutes to get in the car park. In one of the rooms on ground floor. The wardrobe was 3 clothes hangers! Wobbly bedside shelf, shower was only overhead so you couldnā€™t wash without getting your hair wet. Only 3 milks for coffee/tea. Could not fill in the kettle as sink was so small. Room was very small. All in all not worth Ā£178 a night. No breakfast offered
Good points: a good location, comfortable beds

Canā€™t fault the quality at the price you pay here for a prime location, friendly and helpful staff and the good well equipped rooms.
Will definitely stay here again if we are ever in Cambridge.
Thank you

This hotel room cost me GBP100/night. In general it is oK. However, the common wash room is very limited. There are only two common wash rooms with toilets together for about 10 rooms. These is very limited supply and are located in different floors. It is very inconvenient.

I was one of the users in early July, and I was really upset about the hotel. It was a terrible experience. ||It was not expected that we were not allowed to use the washing machine, kitchen and the toiletries, which was not stated in the reminders. The smoke alarm was extremely sensitive that when we were cooking, it literally rang twice. And we were accused that we made a fire while we were making a steak, which is absolutely ridiculous. We were told that we were not allowed to use toiletries after our stay by the landlord. Also, we used the kitchen on the first day, the landlord said it was too dirty. Excuse me, why would you even complain when we only started to stay here!||The most horrible thing is, thereā€™s staff coming in without any permission of ours every single morning. The landlord already stated that she will not come in again on the second day, but she still appeared on the last day of our stay. Not only the landlord, the landlords daughter was in our room, scrolling social media, while the landlord was cleaning the kitchen and sweeping the floor, which we did not ask them to do. It is definitely illegal going in private areas without permission when we were staying there as guests. And to threaten us and to pay them money, she locked one of our rooms when we were out, and when we require the landlord to open the room, she literally asked for Ā£50 to unlock the room. As it was late at night, the key was token by another member which hasnā€™t arrived the hotel, and thereā€™s children with us, we were forced to pay that Ā£50. ||It was also not acceptable for accusing us having no adult in the room on another housing platform, our room have at least an adult of 24 years old and one that was 18.

The location us super convenient. However, it's a bit tired, no ventilation and partly dusty. Window needed to be open for air, the walls are thin so you hear everything. Had a room facing the rear above the pub, it was hosting the footy championship so very noisy. Add people trying to get into my room at 5 am and a fire alarm at 7 am. I did not feel unsafe at any point. The lack of sleep though... I will not visit again, sorry
