Me and my boyfriend came to Rena Spa for a valentines weekend getaway, and we loved every minute of it! We had the afternoon tea and it was so wonderful! There was a completely different menu for vegetarians, and all sandwiches, scones and cakes were absolutely delicious. We had access to the spa facilities which were lovely, very clean and created a relaxing atmosphere. Our treatments exceeded expectations, and our masseuses were very kind and helped us to feel relaxed all the way throughout the treatments. The relaxation area was amazing, plenty of space for all guests to relax, with warm teas and water on offer. It gave us the opportunity to take a break and read our books in a cosy environment. All spa staff were very kind, helpful and accommodating to our needs. We would definitely recommend the spa days and treatments to everyone 😃

The reason me and my partner booked this hotel was for the spa on our anniversary. With it being a spa hotel we thought we would be able to use the spa. On arrival we was given the phone number for the spa department of the hotel who told us during our 3 day stay we are only allowed to use the spa for 1 hour. To which I asked can we pay for extra time in the spa? because it is difficult to get a massage, use the sauna, hot tub and pool all in one hour. I was told no. So if you are staying for 1 night, 3 nights or even 7 nights that does not matter. You are still only allowed to use the spa for 1 hour during your stay. Not worth the money and the room is not much better looking than my bedroom at home. Very un impressed.

booked a spa day with my friend that included a massage . Wasn’t overly happy with the massage and woke up the next day to very bad back pain (my friend did not) my back felt very tight and sore - I phoned up Sunday and was told it was normal (which I don’t believe as I have had many massages and my back has never felt like that the day after) and it would be back to normal within 24/48 hours. It is now 4 days later and I am still in a lot of pain and my back feels terrible. I asked to speak to the manager who was very dismissive and told me I should go and see a doctor as I clearly have back issues (I have never had back issues in my life) . I was only trying to give feedback on the spa day which cost me £180 and I didn’t feel the massage was of a good standard and was unsatisfied with my treatment (the girl who done my treatment forgot to do my right arm) the manager completely shut me down and said she was a trained therapist and again I should go see a doctor if my back is hurting . I don’t feel my custom has been valued and the manager was very rude and dismissive over the phone . When I asked if I could have any compensation her words to me were “sorry there is nothing we can do” . My friend had a different therapist and feels completely different to me but the manager would not take any accountability or responsibility for the way I am feeling. 0/10 for customer service!!

We stayed at the Midland for a family break in Manchester, whilst there I booked a 25 back, neck and shoulder massage. Jodie who did the treatment was amazing and one of the best massages I’ve ever had!! Highly recommend.

This was a treat for my daughter and myself from my fiance, and I can honestly say that we had the best day ever. We had the spa experience with afternoon tea, and a treatment each. From the wonderful service and food in the tearoom upstairs in the Midland hotel, to the gorgeous massage we each had. Harriet and Caitlin were both so professional and Fantastic, and made myself and my daughter feel very relaxed and pampered, thank you to both of you.
The pool itself, is quite small, but absolutely lovely, and a perfect temperature. The jacuzzi was great, although, anyone with hip or knee problems may struggle to enter this Via the ladder. There is a sauna and a steam room which was really good, and the relaxation area was indeed very relaxing. There is plenty of lemon water and tea available during your visit.
The ladies shower room had coded locker's, a hairdryer and straighteners. I feel this area could do with a little bit of attention, simple thing's like products in all showers, not just one, and a little bit of maintenance work, but it was very clean.
We were provided with robes and slippers for the day, and we could use as many towels as we needed, which was great. I would recommend the Rena spa, especially for the treatments, Which were excellent, thank you again Harriet and Caitlin.

Lovely experience. Massage was so good it put me to sleep! Spa facilities are also really enjoyable and some decent different steam rooms.

Only constructive criticism is that the lockers are really narrow so it’s difficult to fit your bag in.

Got the facial .. which isn’t that much of a facial more of scrub and a mask.. and also a leg massage but was more of a scrub not much of a massage .. but I like the atmosphere very relaxing and the staff are sweet!

Calm, relaxing and indulgent spa day. From lunch with champagne to a fantastic deep tissue massage by Sally I came away walking on air. Lovely spa experience. Will definitely book again!
