We booked through air b&b.|On arrival, our lodge was as advertised. Very clean and spacious. It is perfect for a family (plus dog). Everything is available here, games, books, jigsaws, cleaning products, literally everything! Lovely showers, and the beds are so comfortable. |The spa is totally amazing. The swimming pool is gorgeous, and warm, the changing rooms are impeccable and the staff lovely and helpful.|I have just had an Indian head massage, which was outstanding. The lady was so lovely and attentive 10/10.|Overall, we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and I do recommend this resort, for a calm, and peaceful break from normality.

We were blown away by the lodge. We were given a luxury lodge. Was very much value for money and more. We had everything we could have possibly wanted. ||The bed in the master room was very comfortable, but would have been better if there was something that could cover the two mattresses pushed together. We would have loved to have had salt and pepper in the lodge. ||Overall..everything was perfect, and we had a really lovely trip away. Location is great, as not too far from the motorway so did lots of exploring.

We have just returned from an 8 night stay in a 2 bed barnhouse.|The resort location is excellent, well placed for exploring the North Cornish Coast.|The house was very clean inside, spacious, well furnished and comfortable with new mattresses and linen /towels. Showers were powerful and the kitchen really well equiped. We had couple of minor issues which were instantly resolved when we raised them with the helpful reception team.|We didnt use many of the facilities, restaurant, watersports etc so cannot comment on these. We did use the pool which was great, nice and warm just how I like it! and a good sauna and steam room.|We loved the location of our house, 15 The Meadows, overlookong a small lake with visiting ducks and geese. |My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the outside maintainance/ hygiene. The window and door frames, exterior and decking really needed attention and created a poor first impression.|We would return for another lovely relaxing stay.

We booked a dog friendly barn as on the pictures it shows fencing. Upon arrival we were disappointed to see that there was fencing but with huge gaps that even me and my partner could get through with the road right outside. We mentioned this to staff and were told that it was dog friendly not ā€˜dog secure’ apparently if you scroll down it tells you this and we were supposed to be told this on a phone call but never were told and couldn’t find it anywhere online about not being dog secure?! So we couldn’t use the decking area unless we tied the dogs up to the fence and could only open the patio doors if we put the patio table in front of the doors. We barely used the decking as it was right on the road to other lodges so everyone can see you sat there. Luckily we didn’t pay for a hot tub as we never would have used it. We went to leave the lodge to walk the dogs on our first day to find that the door wouldn’t lock. We called the out of hours line and can’t fault the gent who came to help as he came promptly and helped as much as he could. We were then told we had to be moved as they couldn’t access the part to allow him to change the lock. We didn’t get settled until 10pm. We went to customer service and were told that they may be able to move us to a more dog friendly accommodation because of the inconvenience of the locks. We were then called to be told they could move us but we would have to pay an extra Ā£500 for the privilege and it may not still be ā€˜dog secure’! The accommodation itself was clean and tidy although the bed was extremely uncomfortable and both of us barely slept all week. Although you don’t go away to watch tv all week, it would be nice to be able to relax on a night with access to the smart feature apps and be able to stream rather than be left with free view channels as the screen mirroring didn’t work at all. Although we made the best of our time there we wouldn’t return as we have been to other places for less and had more of an enjoyable relaxed experience.

I would give this resort 3.5/5. Accommodation was very spacious. |Fridge freezer needed fixing asthere was a crack in it (still fully functional though), so did one of the shower screens and one of the toilets didnt flush, but the Accommodation had 3 bathrooms so it wasnt a big issue for us. Liked the fact that the lodge had a balcony, patio/decking area at the front and back. Swimming pool not overly big but again, no issue for us. Activities were good but more is needed at Retallack Resort and spa. Would definitely go here again if there were more activities during the day and evening.

We had a great stay joining parents for a long weekend who were there for the week. A great location with easy access to other places to visit! The cabin was spotless and everything we needed was provided, dog friendly which was important to us and they even provided a little dog box. The outside space was excellent, a nice table and chairs as well as a coffee table and soft seating. The hot tub was HOT and very clean, one of the best we have had-I know that sounds odd but we have often been disappointed with the heat and cleanliness of the hot tub in the past. The cabin was peaceful and where there were others around we did not feel overlooked, it was the perfect sun trap with a great view of the river. We are looking forward to returning and on doing so we will be asking for the same cabin as it was perfect. Thanks for a great stay!

The site is beautiful nestled away you can’t believe how much there is to do! We only had a few days but on return would love to experience all the site has to offer from paddle boarding, to water inflatables and stunning restaurants…. And a super sweet shop!

Really has everything you could want with such a variety of unique and high quality accommodation options.
We were fortunate enough to stay in a stunning lodge with hot tub and it was the most exceptional weekend- we cannot thank the staff enough for all they did for us.

Their kindness, dedication to going the extra mile and general warmth, meant our stay was exceptional.

We will absolutely be returning!

Don't believe the lovely photos they have on their website. They show the best lodges and you feel disappointed when you get there. |We decided to stay local as we brought our dog. Even though the price paid we could've gone abroad. I wouldn't have minded paying that. However, on arrival the lodge marked as "superior" was nothing like it's title. The decking was shabby and didn't look like it had been brushed down. This didn't really bother us as we didn't use it. But first impressions weren't great! The interior was drab and dated. And wasn't what was advertised on their website. |The double bed was two singles pushed together so we kept falling down the middle despite there being a topper on. This wasn't such a big deal... the worst of it was the hot tub (see photos)|And let me be clear.... I have my OWN hot tub business specialising in water treatment and disabled clients. |On arrival, the lid was damaged. Not a little wear and tear, thats to be expected. It was completely ripped apart. And because of this, it had filled with moisture and IMPOSSIBLE to lift. Especially as they had no hot tub arm/anchor to assist with lifting. Im a strong girl and deal with lifting hot tub lids daily. This is the worst ive seen in my 10+ years in the industry. |The reason we booked this lodge with a hot tub was because both my daughter and girlfriend are disabled and rely on hydrotherapy for pain relief. We used it the first night but couldn't put the lid back on after this. So we couldn't use it for the remainder of the stay. We didn’t tell them until we left because we didn't want to be moved to a different lodge because of said disabilities. We also didn't want a team of people coming in to help put the lid on and off again after each use (this was their awful excuse to rectify the problem)|Not only is that a safety issue but it's inefficient and just looks rank. It also could've been replaced with a lid that's wasn't in use in a different lodge. It's not rocket science. |Before use, I also noticed a scum line around the spa so it hadn't been cleaned. I also tested it and it had NO SANITIZATION (see photos) So I had to do this myself as I have the kit in the car. |The only good thing about the property was that it was clean (except for the hot tub)... so credit to the cleaners.|I've emailed away resorts and was hoping g they'd apologise and reimburse me for the nights we couldn't use the hot tub. But they just kept making excuses. And offered me 25% if I return.... I can safely say I will not be returning. |There are plenty of other wonderful lodge stays in Cornwall that I will be returning too. And highly recommend Cornwall Hotel and Spa or Trenython Manor.
