I came to RE:TREAT for the first time on Saturday for a Pilates session with Emily and I was so impressed. The venues smells amazing and is so relaxing. The class was so good, so challenging and Emily was amazing at correcting our form and making sure we were comfortable throughout. I’ll definitely be back.

Visit recently with a friend for a much-anticipated pamper day. We had booked a series of treatments— I chose a massage and body scrub, while my friend opted for two different massages. We booked as a duo, intending to enjoy the experience together, but were unexpectedly separated, not detrimental in itself but a precursor for what came next.

Our treatments were pleasant, but the massages lacked the level of pressure we requested, leaving both of us somewhat underwhelmed. Following my body scrub, I was instructed to return to the locker rooms to shower and wait for my friend in reception, despite there being a shower in the treatment room - seemed unnecessarily inconvenient but did as I was told, making my way back down the hall to the locker room covered in body scrub and getting it all over the robe I'd been provided. The showers in the locker room were cramped and poorly equipped. Since the scrub had transferred to my robe during the walk over, and I had to use it again afrer my shower, I ended up covered in the remnants of body scrub again after my shower.

Once showered and dressed, I returned to reception as told and waited for my friend, and waited, and waited. Initially, I assumed her treatment had been extended or delayed, but as time passed, it became clear that something was amiss. After 30 minutes sitting there, I eventually asked the desk staff if I could order a drink, and received a prosecco, though I couldn’t help but feel that the staff could have been more attentive and proactive in asking if I'd like a drink or letting me know they serve them, especially given how long I had been sitting there for so long as she knew I was waiting on my friend.

After 40 minutes, my friend finally appeared, equally as confused as me. Her therapist had taken her to a relaxation area and instructed her to wait for me there, but no one had informed either of us of this arrangement so we were sitting around like fools.

The lack of communication created unnecessary confusion and disrupted what should have been a relaxing experience. This disorganization, coupled with the underwhelming facilities and treatments, means we would not consider returning or recommending the spa. It’s disappointing, as we live nearby and frequently enjoy spa days, but this experience fell short of the standard we would expect. I will however say the service and facilities in the rest of the Lowry did meet expectations.

The retreat spa isn't any good. There are so many better spas out there that I've experienced. That's including the customer service at the Spa and the actual treatment. Description needs to be better on the website and staff aren't polite at all.

I booked RE:TREAT as one of the activities for my sister's hen party, and I have nothing but positive things to say about the entire experience. Natasha, the spa manager, was incredibly helpful and accommodating; nothing was too much effort for her.

When our group of 19 arrived, we were greeted with a warm and bubbly welcome. The staff were all very polite and helpful. The facilities were lovely and clean, and our prosecco was waiting for us on ice.

We enjoyed body scrubs and neck, shoulder, and back massages, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Some even said it was the best massage they have ever had.

I just want to thank the entire team—Natasha, Becca, Vikky, Michelle, Jodie, and Sophia—for making us feel so welcome and relaxed. I would definitely recommend The RE-TREAT to friends and family.

The only actual 5 star hotel in Manchester. Fantastic food, large, bright rooms with the most amazing beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. It has parking, which is a big plus for a city hotel. Although it was only a short walk over the bridge to the city centre, it was away from road noise and weekend party chaos. Will definitely stay again.

My treatment was booked with Lucy. She was friendly & professional throughout the appointment, helping me feel at ease and comfortable.

We had a horrible experience. Wrote to management to let them know and did not receive a response.
The staff were very unprofessional and not bothered. Openly discriminating. Sad to see that people would differentiate treatment due to colour- can’t possibly think of any other reason! We were so polite and excited for our treatments and watched another couple treated so well. Almost like we were invisible.
The so called therapists were too busy gossiping to even direct us to where we should wait.
For an experience that cost us £200 we were very disappointed! Not worth it all.
