We stayed over the Mothers Day weekend. A family of 2 adults and 2 children - aged 8 and 4, along with my parents. We had accommodation number 99, which was a refurbished cottage. This was nice and modern, and you can see the improvements made in comparison to where we stayed 18 months ago. I must say the parking space however was not ideal, making it very hard to get in and out when the 2 nearby properties have their cars parked also. However the overflow car park is not far away at all either. We went to the Italian on both Saturday and Sunday - which was lovely both evenings. We booked swimming on the Saturday, which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to glass in the swimming pool. Not ideal, but not the fault Ribby. An email was sent that I missed, however was followed up with a phone call prior to us making the trip to the pool which was extremely helpful. However we went on Sunday and Monday which the children really enjoyed. They also loved all the outside play areas, soft play, small arcade and the pirate mini golf. I used the gym twice which is fantastic. Overall we loved coming again, and will be back in the near future too.

Just leaving after a lovely 4 day, 3 night stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. |We were a family with three children, aged 2, 4 and 6 and there was plenty to keep them occupied despite not being ‘peak time’ ||There’s lots of free activities during the day. We did biscuit decorating, Jurassic world, puppet making and Jurassic World. All were really good fun and well led with plenty of resources available to use (especially biscuit making which was 4 biscuits, lots of icing and a tub full of sweets)||There’s lots of park all around the village and catered for different ages which was a lovely touch. ||We were really impressed with our accommodation, very clean and full of everything we needed. You get a cleaning pack (bin bags, dishwasher tablets, cloths, washing up liquid) there was an iron and ironing board, high chair, cot etc and plenty of space. ||The swimming is small but never felt over crowded. My children really enjoyed the slides. The first day the water was on the colder side but did feel warmer on the following days. I know it costs a lot of heat the pools but a few degrees warming would make this experience far better.||Overall we were really impressed and would definitely return. I

Just got back from a weekend away, and we were not disappointed. We took our children, a two-year-old and an eleven-month-old. It would be fair to say they loved it. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everyone was so polite and friendly. Our eldest loved the pool and slides; our youngest loved the shows and the sandpit. We will definitely be booking again, maybe next year closer to summer so we can enjoy the climbing frames more. The Italian was great, and nothing was too much trouble. Overall, a great experience.

I have been visiting Ribby Hall holiday village for approximately 25 years.||I took my children, I have taken my Grand children and we have gone as a couple, staying in just about all accommodations from the Motel to the log cabins.||Within that time we only stopped visiting because the rules changed for the 'adults only' sports bar. Children of all ages were now allowed into this area although other facilities existed on site for families including a bar and restaurant. ||Until that point, the site had something for everyone but thankfully the bar appears to be adults only again.||The site is beautiful and has alot to offer. It is not a centre parks, but in my mind far nicer and more refined. ||The site is beautifully landscaped with ducks, swans and other wildlife wandering freely and even the sound of knocking at your patio doors of ducks hinting for food.||The fitness facilities are second to none. Pool access including the adults only area and family area are all included within your stay.||Restaurants, bars, family areas, coffee shops, grocery shop, cafe's, Papa Johns (with delivery to your accommodation) are all on site.||This is a beautiful site. This week we stayed in a log cabin (for 4 persons) with a hot tub which we had a lot of use of. Didn't want to leave.||A refined, long standing company with lots to offer everyone including dog owners and at far more reasonable prices than other companies.||We have used the nearby rail link to travel to Manchester centre for the day. You ate a short trip along the M55 to Blackpool and an even shorter distance to Preston or Lancs.||Local takeaway restaurants deliver to your lodge.||A great village, great location.

Had a lovely weekend break with friends in the Poppy accommodation. Everything was there from lovely bedding to plenty of room to relax. Entertainment team was spot on with cabaret and games for families. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The swimming pool and parks were brilliant for people of all ages. Would recommend.

Visited the spa and had afternoon tea.

Staff were all fantastic, giving a warm welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. The spa was nice, but several of the hydrotherapy facilities were not working. Another snag was that the locks on the lockers in the changing room are very hit and miss - I had to get someone to open mine as it refused to work. In leaving, my wife wanted to buy some products from the reception. Very few things on display were actually priced, which meant asking every time. Hard work for us and the staff.

Overall, it was a very nice afternoon, great staff but the facilities need some maintenance and better marketing for a full 5 star experience.

We arrived for a family mothers day break . We checked in a little early and waited till 4pm watching and waiting for the cleaner . Who didnt clean it that well . There was crumbs on the floor and hairs in the sink . So we gave it clean . The bedding stained . With little marks . Burns on 2 of the carpets . The parking in the cottage we had someone park in a space making 98 cottage hard to get out . The location was ok with the ducks visiting . The coffee house was nice tad over priced. The pizza we went at 8.30 on friday night to be told we are closed . The hive is lovely and the food was served very quickly . The things to do for kids was great staff took time to speak to the children . Booking is a must for activities . Swimming sadly the 1st time they closed it due to glass in the pool . And the 2nd time swimming lessons was on and we was told there was no more times to book so very disappointed . That we only had half a pool .The play centre was rammed and no staff watching kids running riot some aged 11 plus . The zoo was great apart from 1 guy who shouted at the family not to stand next to the deer scared the life out of my granddaughter and made her cry .|We booked the italian for mothers day we arrived to be told our table wasnt ready we then went to a table under a freezing cold air condition unit with a 2 year old . Took 20 mins for a drinks order no flowers on our table either no colouring set offered . Yes we was a group of 4 but the bigger groups got all the attention. Food came no offer to see if we want parmesan cheese for the meal . Do we want more drinks never asked . We then waited over 40 mins for our puddings . Its the lack of attention to detail sadly let this meal down . Yes we was a small family but we was still paying customers . We paid over £100 plus . And wouldnt not return . |We paid over £480 for this holiday and there are a lots of things that need to be address. |We reported the slugs snail in cottage they said we hadnt and no one came not good when you have a toddler playing with toys on the floor . We was told that maintenance team would come out on sat . The cleaning not great .|Lets hope these comments get addressed |

Staff very welcoming on check in. House keeping visited to confirm everything was okay with our cottage. We stayed in a poppy cottage. The cottage itself was very spacious and well equipped. The facilities on site were great from the evening entertainment to the swimming pool. Our little girl loved it. Will definitely be back.
