Enjoyed a very comfy night here in this traditional welcoming pub, favoured by locals and visitors.|Well appointed and clean rooms, ensured a good night's sleep. An excellent breakfast sent us on our way in the morning. This is a central location and offers easy access to shops etc. We did not eat here but the menu looked excellent value.

During my recent stay at the Ring O' Bells Inn in Chagford, I found the accommodations to be basic yet comfortable, offering a quintessential village pub experience. The central location in Chagford made it an ideal base for exploring the area.

The true highlight of my visit was the exceptional hospitality. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The traditional pub setting, complete with a wood burner and a beautiful curved bar, added to the charm.

The pub's menu offers a variety of dishes, combining traditional classics and contemporary options made from local produce. I particularly enjoyed the steak and Stilton pie, which was excellent.

In summary, while the rooms are modest, the Ring O' Bells Inn excels in delivering outstanding hospitality and a genuine local experience. I felt very welcome throughout my stay and would recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic village pub atmosphere in Chagford.

Stayed a Saturday night. All good. Friendly staff and decent bunch of local people at the bar that evening. Breakfast also very good. On street parking, we were lucky. I would imagine parking tricky peak season

Visiting Chagford recently, we happened upon this little gem. We, as all customers were, were welcomed in by a friendly member of staff 😊 We stayed for lunch, my parents both had a cheesy jacket potato. Such a reasonable size they thought they could have shared one! Mine was also very filling *pictured* & I ended up bringing half away with me. I had a bacon, brie and cranberry ciabatta (other vegetarian options were availableπŸ™Œ). Overall, a variety of other menu items too! This would be a great pit stop for walkers to refuel at. But, just generally a characterful pub with friendly & efficient service. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

This pub with rooms is an official 3* pub/hotel and it reaches that standard easily. The rooms are comfortable with en-suite shower room/wc. The bed is comfy. The bar area is friendly serving mainly homemade meals. Good selection of beer etc at very competitive prices. Excellent location in the centre of the village. I have no hesitation in recommending. Great place to start exploring Dartmoor. We will be returning. The big plus is that it is very dog friendly. This is a proper pub/hotel that has no pretention, it is not shiny chrome finish. Very good value. There are more expensive hotels that offer a higher level at a higher price nearby. It does all the right things at the right price.

Popped in for lunch after a short walk around the tiny village. Menu outside looked great. Both myself and my husband had steak and ale pie with chips and vegetables, braised red cabbage, carrots, broccoli and mashed swede and gravy. We both agreed it was the best pie we've ever had. Reasonable prices. Friendly service. Definitely worth a visit.
