We arrived to the warmest friendly welcome from Kevin & Lyn. Fabulous building and furnished to a very high standard. Room was warm & bed was extremely comfortable. Can recommend the breakfast as delicious. So happy we were lucky enough to find such a perfect location.

I had to stay in swanage for work , I always get a bit nervous staying in new places on my own , this is fantastic better than most London hotels I stayed in . Spotless , great size , comfortable. Even milk in the fridge and biscuits, lots of tea coffee and hot chocolate. Even a cork screw they thought of everything. Very nice people . Close to the shops and beach . I would 100% recommend. And I for sure will be staying again .

Every time we come to Swanage, we try to stay at rivendell. Lyn and Kevin are incredibly friendly people, always wanting to help make the stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible.

The room was immaculate, very clean and tidy. Room sizes are perfect for a couple. Shower very good, and bed is comfortable.

Location is perfect, tucked out the way of most of the crowds, but close enough to be able to access everything (next to train and bus station), as well as 5 minutes walk to beach.

Overall, would highly recommend staying here. Extremely affordable (one of the cheapest places to stay in Swanage), Lyn and Kevin are great people and go above and beyond for their customers, and the rooms are amazing. Definitely stay here.

Fabulous small hotel, excellent attention to detail, large and very comfortable bed. Everything was spotless. Had the breakfast hamper delivered to our room for breakfast which was hot and delicious. Lots of very nice little touches, milk in the fridge, biscuits and plenty of tea and coffee. Very welcoming, great communication. We were even given a little gift for our anniversary. We would love to visit again. Highly recommend the suite.

Had a wonderful stay at Rivendell. Perfect location, a short walk to the sea front, and a free parking permit provided for nearby carpark. Lovely clean room, with everything you could need provided. The breakfast was great, delivered to your room, you can choose from a lovely selection. Lyn and Kevin went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Couldn't fault our stay 😊

Beautiful Victorian terrace, lot of original features (tiles, stained glass), and very good, sympathetic updates. Lovely furniture and decor, and the host Lyn is wonderful, professional and friendly. Breakfast is delivered to your room! Would recommend.

Kevin and Lynne are perfect, friendly hosts. Rivendell is a lovely guest house that is perfectly placed with clean, well appointed rooms. We were met on arrival by the sight of the common areas decorated for christmas with the feel of a stately home and an open fire in the lounge. This was perfect for enjoying a cuppa in front of after a long journey ( with the Jammy Dodgers that Kev and Lynne had left on the tea tray) Bedroom had a lovely bed and all the facilities you’d expect with the addition of a fridge with a little bottle of fresh milk in (a nice touch, UHT tea doesn’t quite cut it). We didn’t have the breakfast as had other arrangements in the morning but it sounded delicious and used local produce|En - suite was spotless and we had lovely hand soap and shower gel for us.

The owners, Lyn and Kevin are very nice and polite people. The rooms were very clean, all the necessary things were at hand. On the night of our stay it was very hot, there was a fan in the room which made the night more pleasant. We received a 24/7 parking permit for the duration of our stay. We had Made-to-order breakfast delivered to our room in a hamper basket, everything was fresh and very tasty. Wonderful service and pleasant atmosphere. From the moment you enter, it smells so nice and encourages you to stay.
