First visit. We were in the area. I googled waterside pubs as they are often well worth a visit. We were not disappointed.
A very friendly welcome from Rowan behind the bar. Very helpful and we could choose either a table in the restaurant or bar, we opted for the restaurant and were shown to a nice table near a wood burning stove. Menu has plenty of choice of both pub classics and other interesting options.
We only wanted a light lunch so I chose a chicken and bacon ciabatta served with salad and fries, my wife the terrine with sourdough toast. Our orders were taken by Chelsea, again, very friendly and welcoming.
Both meals arrived promptly and were well presented. We both enjoyed our meals, and Chelsea was good enough to supply a little extra toast for my wife to finish her terrine.
All in a very pleasant visit to a friendly waterside pub. Would recommend

Called in for lunch on our way home from holiday. Great location next to the river with plenty of outdoor seating, good atmosphere, lovely clean place. Had a lovely warm welcome from Rowan and Chelsea. Drinks were offered immediately, pint of lager and glass of red wine. They were very helpful with our choices of food. I decided on pork terrine from the starter menu as a light lunch, it came with two small pieces of bread which I found was insufficient for the amount of terrine, butter and chutney provided so I asked for more and was given two more pieces at no extra charge, may I say it was very yummy. My husband had a chicken sandwich which was substantial, he thoroughly enjoyed it. We can highly recommend a visit to The Riverside. Thank you again to Chelsea and Rowan for making our visit relaxing and memorable.

We arrived at the hotel and we were treated like old friends as we were there last year. Everyone was friendly and efficient, but I would like to pick out 3 people who were especially friendly and helpful. They were Adam, the manager, Haley, housekeeping, and Jalena, who was so everywhere.

We called in for lunch, it was quite busy in the restaurant. The food was lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was pleasant. We sat outside after our meal to finish our drinks which was very pleasant. I definitely recommend a visit

Stopped into the Riverside for Sunday Lunch on our way back from Stratford to Nottingham. The staff were friendly and attentive, but the food was quite dissapointing. We had the duo of roasts, which arrived very quickly, but was luke warm at best, suggesting that it had been out for some time, even though the pub was not very busy due to the poor weather. The only vegetables present (other than the damp roast potatoes) were a couple of cold parsnips. ||The venue was beautifully situated and we had hoped to visit again when it wasn't pissing it down, but if that is the usual standard of food, then we won't bother.

Brilliant atmosphere. The food was amazing too, very hot and great for the value. The pub garden is lovely too with an amazing view. Too bad we live two hours away or I would go here all the time! Staff were brilliant too. Thank you so much Chloe and the team. Hopefully we will be back one day.

Excellent customer service from all staff we encountered! Special mention to Sean, the Assistant Manger. We had a small issue which he went out of his way to resolve.

The riverside location is great, with good out door seating and very pleasantly decorated insides.

The rooms were tastefully decorated with excellent showers and good quality, complimentary drinks & biscuits.

Alcohol prices were pretty reasonable and the food in the restaurant was OK & quite fairly priced!

The full English breakfast was great value, plentiful and good quality.

The hotel was very clean thru out and out rooms were tidied daily.

Plenty of free, off road or parking too!

100% recommend the hotel & staff and would definitely use again!

This hotel has to genuinely be one of the best I've ever stayed at.Every single staff member was absolutely amazing.The best customer service I've ever received from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.Huge shout out to the beautiful Emma and Rowan for the best dinner service and all the others ,who's names I didn't get over the last few days but deserve just as much credit.|The hotel room was perfectly clean,great bed and decoration is stunning.Slept wonderfully.Bathtoom is fabulous with the best shower.||The restaurant is just as spectacular with amazing food whether it's dinner or breakfast.||The surroundings outside the hotel and the aesthetics are beautiful.If I ever travel up this way again, guaranteed I will be back.||Thankyou for the personal touches in the room.||Absolutely fantastic! Couldn't recommend any more of I tried.||Thankyou for such a top tier experience.❤️
