Great location with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. We stayed in a caravan booked through air b&b, it was lovely and clean and a nice comfortable stay.

Been coming here for 40 years. Both sets of grandparents owned vans on here during the 70s, 80s & 90s. It's a real shame the problems they've had with flooding. People have obviously lost a lot and my heart goes out to them.
However... opening this site as a holiday destination right now (its 85% owner and 15% holiday letting so I'm told).
We arrived to a dirty van. The previous occupants rubbish found around the van. Pots and pans rusty. Stained bedding. Stained carpet. Stained sofa. Sockets not working etc.
The site itself is a scene of devastation. Vans tipped. Flooded. Deserted. Rubble everywhere. Fridges and freezers, mattresses and all sorts dumped around the site. It's certainly not a scene you'd see in the holiday brochures. It was actually just depressing to see.
My mum isn't very mobile and has a scooter. The ramp up to the outdoor pool is too small to get around in a scooter. I've not long had cancer surgery and shouldn't lift heavy things.. but the scooter got stuck and I had to pull it around the tight gap. Not able to access the indoor pool as steps both sides. It was just a bit embarrassing for my mother to be honest.
The entertainment wasn't great. They closed the main venue and shoved us into a small function room (for those of you who knew the site in the 80s.. its the former "rainbow room".. now called "percys"). Not enough seating for everyone. Staff desperately trying to drag in extra tables and chairs each night. Just open the main venue Felt like we were all squeezed in. Owners all obviously know each other but it felt awkward and too close for us. No atmosphere.
One night in particular there was a tribute act. I'm not going to say who as it's not kind... but it wasn't good.

Used to be a thriving fish and chip shop, supermarket/gift shop, cafe, betting shop and back in the day even a hairdressers. Nothing there now. A lady in the club who used to sell sweets from a booth. Just added a little something for kids. Arcade isn't what it used to be.

Staff don't seem bothered who walks in and out. Esp pool and clubhouse. Pretty sure people just walked in off the street. Felt on edge around the pool as kids in the "big pool" struggling to keep a float but lifeguards say nothing at all despite signs up saying no non swimmers. Lifeguard had to jump in one day. All in that pool when the kids pool was empty Why Barely any sunbeds.. was a case of people reserving with towels but then not appearing for hours. Only 20 odd. Plenty of space for more. Invest in a few more.

Overall.. just disappointed to see this site like this. 40 years of amazing memories here.. with family who are no longer with us. It was just sad to experience this. Not sure we will be back.

I hope everyone who has suffered loss here recovers.
I just don't think its fit for holiday makers right now.

Nice caravan site with 2 pools, great for kids, lots to keep them entertained with on site amusements and 2 playgrounds, there is an onsite shop but with Aldi, lidl, Sainsbury’s, Tesco nearby a shop run is easy. There is also Nando’s, Burger King, McDonalds all on your doorstep too!
The beaches are only 20mins away mainly pebble and Arundel Castle is about the same distance too.
We had the Arundel Plus which was modern clean and tidy, nice power shower, and two toilets. There is WiFi on site which we didn’t use so can’t comment on signal strength etc.
We had a party of 3 caravans with our son’s daughter in laws and grandchildren. There is evening entertainment in the club licensed club house with bingo, discos and cabaret.
All in all a great family holiday.

I liked riverside a lot and the staff were friendly, this is my second time going and it’s still the same ? but one thing is the people next to us were really noisy especially at like 11pm or 12am they played really loud music that’s my only complaint but we were close to the entrance and next to the pool which was good but other than that I loved it

I go here all the time. I have my own caravan down there, and go every weekend. About|6 months ago (in October), the park flooded. Like, REALLY badly. So, yes, the site is going to be wet (it’s dried up more now but there’s loads of water down the bottom field and near the back of middle field, where my old caravan was), and it is going to be abit muddy. If you’re renting out a caravan, don’t expect it to be all posh and clean either. ||I’ve seen so many people saying there’s nothing for kids to do either Yes, there is. The arcade is literally open till like 1am, kids fun time is 6:30 - 7:00, (I think?) and then there’s kids bingo after. After that it’s adults bingo, and then more music and dancing stuff for the kids + adults. There is a park (the main park) but it’s drying up at the moment, there’s another small park but not gonna lie it’s all run down and everything, but no one really goes there anyways. And then there’s the 3 pools, (and the hot tub) one big indoor one, a small children’s one outdoors (which isn’t heated though), and a heated outdoor pool. The outdoor ones aren’t open at the moment, and they’re still cleaning the kiddie pool from the flood, but it’s going to be open in the summer. (Which is the best time to go if you’re renting a caravan). ||There’s 3 pubs, (but the main one is being used as an office right now because the actual office flooded in the flood) and their all actually really nice, they don’t look like your ‘average British pubs’. There’s also a diner (CHENKOS ) which is really good, I love their food, though it is honestly quite expensive not gunna lie.

I find from various previous reviews that this site has a terrible rating, however most of these are unjustified, it is true that the site is not in a picturesque location but this is reflected in lower hire charges. You can not in anyway blame the site for flooding, just a curse of nature. Same as the Tories are being blamed now for COVID and Wars causing the cost of living crisis. D o visit the site and give it a fair hearing.

We stayed in a caravan hosted by a Becky on Airbnb.||The site feels deserted and decayed and is in the middle of an industrial estate.||Nothing is open due to the flood, no pools, nothing.|We were not told of this prior to arriving.|We found a filthy caravan that is in serious need of a jet wash, the only filthy one in fact!||Inside was not much better. It smelt of stale cigarettes, damp, wet dog and general uncleanness.||All utensils were grubby as was the tiny fridge (not fit for purpose) which was in a dirty alcove.||The toilets were clean however.||Inside the windows were filthy and covered with greasy hand marks and a layer of dirt.||We contacted the host and explained we couldn't possibly stay there due to the state of it.|||She offered us £30 discount and told us where the cleaning stuff was!||We left the same day and luckily found alternative accommodation in Selsey.||A VERY expensive weekend away!

Had a really good holiday at Riverside. Caravan was clean, tidy and comfortable. Shower was hot and powerful considering it was a caravan shower. Oven was rubbish so we just used the microwave or the gas hob to cook. Plenty of room in the lounge, bathroom and bedrooms for the 4 of us.
Swimming pools were good and made the holiday as the weather was wet most days. Lockers out of use but could keep clothes, towels by pool side.
Arcades were a hit with kids especially the small soft play area.
Entertainment wasn't brilliant, half an hour each night of singing... wanted more really.
Park was clean and maintained well. The tap in the kitchen came off and was fixed quickly.
Need more pillows per person in the caravan, my partner did ask for more but no more were every brought to us.
We ate at the restaurant/fast food and the fish and chips portions were small for the £7 price.... food okay but didn't taste fresh.
