3 night stay in Rowels 16-19 August for my husband and myself. Went to Ripon races on the Saturday much easier and nicer option than trying to get a hotel booking! Lovely lodge, spotlessly clean with nice quality furniture & fittings. So peaceful, no passing traffic. Will definitely be back.

Back from a nice family stay at Riverside Lodges. We stayed in Uredale and it was lovely overlooking the river. It was beautifully quiet and we really enjoyed the hot tub. The lodge was spacious, and nice and warm. Bonus having 2 shower rooms. There were a few parts of the lodge that need a little extra work…lots of cobwebs on ceilings, mould on grouting in shower, some flooring which had seen better days and a broken slat on the headboard. All small things but not what you’d expect at price paid. Also did have to mention to owner about a very smelly dishwasher but was told to run it through…we just didn’t use lodge to eat in again as did not want to be using our short break to fuss with a smelly dishwasher! |We did eat in the recommended Portofino’s though which was lovely, good for families and reasonably priced too! And tried out The Water Rat which was good too with a great position eating at river. The welcome book was really helpful!|Lodge was in a nice area, simple walk into main shopping/food area, and as we got lucky with weather we took a nice walk around city and along the river. We chose it as it was around an hour away from most of the things we wanted to visit…NYMR, Malham Cove and York so a good base for seeing lots of Yorkshire. |A few things would take this lodge up to a very good/excellent stay as priced…nice big bath sheets, a king size bed in main room, a more regular deep clean and an update to the flooring.|Overall a lovely stay!

What a lovely time! We were welcomed by Rod to Studley and it was absolutely picturesque. The location was fantastic for where we wanted to be, a quick walk and we were in the heart of Ripon. Lodge was clean and tidy as expected and will be looking forward to returning soon!

This is a lovely place, nicely out the centre of Ripon with an outlook over the river, obscured a little by the trees and bushes. It's about a 15min walk into the centre (well worth a look round). The lodge we had was lovely and clean with fairly new furniture, large screen TV, (reception wasn't great in the middle of the storms we experienced), The hot tube was clean and checked/serviced during our stay, lovely warm temperature really enjoyed laying in it late into the evening doing some star gazing. The site as a whole was nice and quiet which we liked.
If I was to say anything it would be that the communications wasn't always great..
On the whole we had a lovely time and look forward to returning soon...

Just to start the review off avoid these lodges as they are run down and rod must be just cashing in for retirement the customer service is very poor I would never come back to this park as it’s far to expensive for what it is the only good thing is that it is a ten minute walk to the town centre and light water valley is just up the road when you email Catherine has a attitude problem so my advise is to book else where

A wonderful lodge within easy walking distance to the centre of Ripon. The lodge itself had everything necessary for a self catering stay. The bed was very comfortable, it made for a good nights sleep. The shower room was lovely and spacious and the H2K products were a little touch of luxury.|Outside, the decking area felt very private and the hot tub was just Heavenly.|The standard of cleanlines was exceptional, both inside and outside of the lodge. It felt like a great little hideaway.

Avoid at all cost to say the cleaners had been before each arrival there was cobwebs every grout in the bathroom was disputing couch was broken the place is in need of a major revamp they are very over priced for what they are rod is very welcoming when you get there then you can’t get hold of anybody when the problems we will not be returning

Superb lodges, extremely well equipped and decorated. Beautiful surroundings and hut tub is a bonus. Had a wonderful week and we will defenitley be back again. Ripon is a beautiful town with historic sites and great restaurants. Owners made us very welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended.
