I've just returned from a 4 night stay here with Jason Edwards Travel. And it was great .we visited lots of places. But the hotel was a real plus .from the time we arrived .we were checked in quickly .the rooms are a little dated but functional. You are given a time slot for food as we were 1 of coaches staying here .you have a choice of 4 meals for each course .and service was quick. The meals are really tasty and hot .breakfast is a buffet with all the usual suspects available. There's entertainment on 2 nights which was good. The hotel is a mile from the village of Aberfoyle. Your rooms are not serviced during your stay unless you request it .tea /coffee/towels are available from reception. Jason edwards travel visit this hotel throughout the year .would I visit it again .Yes

Had a lovely stay here on a coach tour recently. Rooms are basic, lack of plugs and light and bathrooms need refurbishment but this place is spotless and the staff can't do enough for you. There were 4 coach loads in but we never waited for food which was served hot and delicious. Plenty of choice on the menu and something for everyone. In fact most evenings we were spoilt for choice and didn't know what to order. The breakfasts were really good too with buffet style. Each coach had a timeslot so no long queues. We had a drinks package which included wine with dinner & 3 free drinks each in the bar. The bar prices seemed reasonable as well. Entertainment on a couple of evenings which was good. All in all would thoroughly recommend this hotel🙂

Great stay for 2 nights over the bank holiday weekend. Bargain break which included breakfast and a 3 course evening meal on both nights. Evening menu changed both nights which I was pleased about as I wasn't keen on the mains on the first night. Pics are of the food on second night. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Nice local walks and 1 mile walk to local shops and pubs.

Lots of walking, approx 250yds, between main hotel building and our 2nd floor room which was almost at the far end of this establishment and included a 50yd covered walkway, which must be great fun in the winter months. It’s quite a stretch for guests with impaired mobility, but there is a lift.|| Set in lovely surroundings in the Trossachs National Park, this former WW2 POW Camp, if you’re on a coach tour as we were, still has echoes of its previous role when it comes to the regimented meal times. It’s a cross between Butlins and Stalag 593. It is situated approx a kilometre outside Aberfoyle.|| However, our room was pleasant, clean and very comfortable, although the shower was on the small side. The buffet-style breakfasts were excellent, as were the evening meals which were brought to table. Only problem with mealtimes was the fixed times, requiring prompt attendance.|| Entertainment was mediocre, and for only 2 nights out of 4.| It is a dog-friendly hotel.|| The rooms were not serviced, but fresh towels were available on request, as were top-ups of tea, coffee, sugar and milk.|| The staff were very friendly, helpful and gave us a good Scottish welcome.

Bedrooms are nice and very homely feel.. I had paid extra cuz there was no single rooms leftd,, I found the double bed comfortable , small bathroom the food was nice but small potions, the front desk staff was kind enough to help me out with lending me a phone charger as my mines wouldn't work in Bedroom sloted lol but all everyone was very lovely and helpful even let me hold on to the charger so next time I return I'll remember to bring charger with me ..

We had a 4 night stay as part of a coach holiday. There were 4 coach parties during the week which made the hotel very busy and the hotel provided excellent service despite the high number of guests, time schedules, etc. The hotel is in a lovely location one mile from the village and has spacious grounds. Loch Katrine was about 45 minutes drive. The bedroom was away from the main building in a separate wing but was very comfortable with a nice view. Housekeeping was not provided but any items were replenished with a call to reception. The breakfast was a standard help yourself buffet and the quality was very good. The evening meals were excellent with a good choice and again the quality was very good. The evening entertainment was a mixed bag as the first night was the superb Gary who was both very funny and gifted musically to the second night's singer who had no personality or interaction ( maybe playing a cd would be as entertaining ). Alastair, was quite a character and the other staff were excellent. The hotel was a perfect base for our coach holiday and they are obviously very experienced at providing high volume services to such guests, Other guests had a separate restaurant.

Stayed here in April 25 on a 5 day coach trip. The corridors to bedrooms are very dated with cream & burgundy artexed walls but the rooms are pleasant with good bathrooms. I found the bed uncomfortable so I was offered a different room but the mattress was still the same. The food was very nice & tasty & the staff are great. Good value for the money paid.

Lovely room (yes a bit dated but spacious and well equipped!). I slept very well!

Location great for me - a 20 minute walk on a paved path beside a stream running parallel to the road to Aberfoyle.

Breakfast was nothing fancy but absolutely fine. Staff were all lovely - at reception, breakfast and the bar - thank you!

Good value for money.
