Pleasant low-key experience. Grounds are good to explore especially if you can arrange to be there for the guided tour, interesting experience but not too long. House has a few rooms to explore with staff ready to chat and explain things to you. Enjoyed the piano player in the hall,nice touch. Tea room has drinks and cakes. Good day out, lots of parking.

Beautiful gardens, we went on a dinosaur day. The kids really enjoyed it. The house was very interesting and the "try the helmets on" in one of the rooms was enough to keep the 9 year old happy. The food is essentially drinks and cake though. There was a mobile pizza van there which was good but there wasn't much more, definitely not much kid friendly food, that we saw anyway.

We fell in love with Rockingham Castle, the moment we walked through the beautiful tower gates. We loved that we could take our guests on a journey with us around the gorgeous castle and grounds – from our ceremony and breakfast in the Great Hall and drinks reception in the gardens to dancing the night away in Walker’s House. The castle estate team were brilliant in helping us with our wedding planning and ensuring that the day went smoothly from start to finish. In particular, we would like to thank Katie Callaghan who was absolutely fantastic in helping us deliver our wedding exactly as we wanted to and whose presence in the planning was a constant reassurance to us. What stunning photos we have of our day and what cherished memories we have too!

Visited the home of the ancestral home of the Watson family, we had a guided tour of the house which was decorated for a victorian Christmas. The guides and staff were very informative. Would definitely recommend.

Interesting place with beautiful mature grounds, and a castle with a fascinating history,also if you love walking there are plenty here to get the blood pumping,and when you get hungry and thirsty there is a nice tearoom. What's not to love.

A charming, romantic place perfect for spending time with Your Family or Partner☺️ You can buy souvenirs in a small Shop for a normal price, just like in a restaurant You can drink coffee, eat cake or even eat something substantial☕🍰🥧🥪 and the price won't blow You away☝️ while drinking and eating You can enjoy the wonderful view 😍 and there is a large Garden that is pleasant to walk around 😁 and near the trees you can find edible mushrooms 😱 Dad fought very hard not to take them and make soup from them 🍲🤭

We had a beautiful day out at Rockingham Castle. We did the guided tour of the garden, Lesley was a lovely friendly guide, very informative about the history of the castle and Gardens.
There is a nice tea room there, with seats outside that have an amazing panoramic view.
The inside of the castle also gave lots of information about the history.
Well worth the trip and I will definitely come back to see the gardens in different seasons.

Lovely historical castle worthy of a days visit. Good walks available also around the estate. The gardens are well kept and the rose garden very pretty while the roses are blooming.
