Lovely clean room. Comfy bed, although another pillow would have been nice, shower hot, towels fluffy & clean. Breakfast was lovely, staff really nice & pleasant. Central location. downsides to the place… no on site parking and a bit noisy with the pubs, other guests not so considerate, lots of noise within the above rooms and along corridor, def not hotel/ staff fault.

Very friendly welcoming Rooms at the Nook. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay following a gig at the picturedome this is the place. I wouldn’t expect a quiet stay. Loud music from the bar until about 12.30 on a Friday. People not understanding the need to be quiet. That is in no way the fault of the Nook. The welcome was very friendly, lots of information about parking etc. Had a very good sleep with comfortable beds and bathroom was very clean. Good breakfast.

We stayed for a Sunday evening in June. Rooms with character very centrally located to holmfirth. Everything is in a short walking distance. Parking by public but cheap car parks nearby. The breakfast was way better than it had to be! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 👍

Booked a 'Room at The Nook' for a gig at The Picturedrome. The rooms are right across the street so really handy. Clean, tidy and compact but ok for a one night stay. We had a room on the third floor with looked out onto the pub front courtyard. As you would expect it is very noisy up until closing time but we ourselves enjoyed a couple of post gig beers in the pub and became part of the noise. Cooked breakfast was excellent. There is no parking nearby but we found unrestricted street space about a ten minute walk away.

Very nice modern room, it had done traditional old beams, and features , the bed was a bit hard and only one flat pillow (no good for side sleeping)
Breakfast was a bit of a disaster, we waited 45 mins and the other couple that attended breakfast waited over an hour (there was us plus another couple in a very spacious dining area).
All in all not a bad visit for the price and location. 👍

We came in a party of 7 staying in two rooms and were thoroughly impressed with the stay. Comfy rooms, good breakfasts and really helpful staff who went above and beyond. Absolutely brilliant all round and will be recommending to anyone visiting the area.

We stopped at the Nook in November and although the rooms were good, the whole experience was disappointing. There was no hot water and as a group of 12, we waited for ninety minutes before everyone had received their breakfasts. There was no staff around other than a young girl who we all felt sorry for. When it did arrive, much of the breakfast was cold. We did write to management as there was no one to complain to on the day but we were less than satisfied with their response.

Booked for my partners 50th had to cancel due to the river bursting its banks and my house under water. Contacted the hotel to change the dates as we still wanted to come. They said contact customer service who said was fine to change dates but need to confirm with hotel and need to ring. Customer service said have tired hotel but I would need to contact them my self. Which I did but the women I spoke to said she is fully book tonight and is losing out on room and cancellation period is 48 hours I get but we did not know the river would burst it’s banks and our house is under water. She was quite rude not understanding at all that we still want to come just we have more important things to deal with and don’t want to cancel we want to change dates but all I got was they are small business and shouldn’t booked through booking.com should gone through them as they would have been able to help more as booking.com take 20%. Iv lost my home under water and also lost £120 because you can not accept us coming on different date you can have put this room available up for tonight and let us rebook but all you kept saying is your small business. I get and we did want to come back but after speaking with one of the owners definitely would not go or recommend at all.
