Very relaxed place, zero stress, the opposite of stress, I was able to decompress here. |Not the place to visit if your seeking luxury, but if you're happy with a homely feel and genuinely friendly and engaging host. Then this is the place.||I played golf at Dunaverty, Machrihanish and the Dunes; And this was the perfect staging point.||View over the water is incredible. And easy walk from town. |I'll certainly be back. |

Very relaxed vibe, and easy location for walking into Campbeltown and visiting the Springbank distillery.
Stayed here whilst play Machrihanish and Dunes courses(both are superb), and it a short drive to them. The perfect staging post.

The host was very easy going, and one evening we sampled some of the whisky we had bought together on the grass outside watch the sunset over the Lock. The view is very special.

Not the place to stay at if your looking for a luxurious experience, but if you prefer the living homely vibe, then this is definitely for you.

Thank you for for making my stay so fun.

Proper Scottish warmth and humour from the lovely hosts (who aren't Scottish but are so great they could be). ||Delicious breakfast. Some whiskey on the house. A comfy bed. A strong shower. What more does one need in life.

We had a lovely stay at Rosemount Guest House. Our hosts were welcoming, very helpful and were very pleasant to deal with. The house is beautiful and has a very stunning view and within short walking distance to the town centre. The breakfast was very satisfying and delicious. We will certainly come back when we next visit Campbeltown.

What could have so easily been the best of our many stopovers was the worst through lack of attention to detail. The room was by far the biggest, with a large private attached shower room. The large bed was comfortable. There was also a large guest sitting room with splendid views of Campbeltown. Now the problems: a kettle whose nearest power socket meant it had to be put on floor or nearby chair to use, a bed side lamp that didn't work, a bed side lamp with a bulb that could power a lighthouse, a bathroom door hinge that could feature in a horror film given its creakes and groans, wobbly sink taps, loose toilet seat. No guest television in bedroom nor sitting room. The breakfast was a surreal experience, one entered a large room with excellent views to find a mat, knife and fork, on a table, for each guest in a line opposite a window with great view.. No juice, cereals, fruit, toast etc offered nor supplied. After too long a wait in the room with loud music playing the host offered a hot drink, a weak milky tea arrived after more minutes in a chipped mug. After another 5 or so minutes the well apportioned, tasty, breakfast was plonked down in front of us, we ate and left with loud music still playing and little interaction with the host. This establishment has made our infrequently used 'Do not visit again' list.

Entered property lots of shoes boots and dirty sweatshirt in the hall. Not greeted just key left on side. Room large wonderful view but dirty, television very small, coffee and tea kettle but NO cups. Toilet seat loose and the toilet brush very rusty. Room so cold slept in clothes. |Breakfast was another thing I asked for a yogurt and was given a thick dollop of something and strawberries own never even asked if Iiked strawberries which I don’t. The cooked breakfast was well over cooked hard bacon over cooked and burnt tomatoes. No fruit juice tea bought in a miss matched mugs. |It was probably one of the worse places I have ever stayed in. The owner has no idea on hospitality.

Wonderful stay! Our hosts were extremely welcoming and kind and the breakfast was great. The house is a short walk from the middle of town and has the most amazing view out on to the bay.

This guest house has fantastic views across the loch especially at nightfall with the harbour lights glistening across the water. Lovely large rooms and a really pleasant sitting room just for the guests, excellent thought. ||Breakfast fresh and wholesome with lots of choice.||||If arriving by car beware the entrance, a tad tight so watch for it and approach with care other than that, enjoy your stay if you choose this place.
